Shawn Michaels is the greatest in-ring performer of all time and many other wrestlers will agree for a reason. The man had everything: looks, athleticism, mic skills... the "it" factor. There will never be another like him. No one has ever come close and will forever be my favorite. How he looked in the 90's will always be one of my main influences fitness-wise.

I totally agree. Prime 90s Micheals physic was outstanding and you can't get bigger than that naturally really.... as a kid his biceps always reminded me of bricks and to this day at 41 arm day in the gym I use those visual memories for inner focus hype.

It's been a joy watching Shawn's career. People forget that Shawn came into WWF right in the heart of Hulkamania in the 80's and worked through the big man era. And probably during the most competitive tag team era of the time as well I'd love to know where his head was at when he decided to ditch the Rockers and take on a solo career against the odds the moment he kicked Marty through that glass. I think that is the moment that started a change in the business to what it is today. And what a legacy! Amazing how he came back from the neck injury, sat out for a couple of years and had an amazing second half to his career also against all odds. Great interview.

An absolute Icon of the wrestling world everyone growing up loved Shawn’s matches. Incredible to see how humble he is now as an older guy. As he says his ego made him who he was at the time along with his outrageously great character, bravado and ability. Also to hear him at Bret are friends after Montreal is a true definition of how time heals hate from your past. Everyone growing up loved this guy watching his matches even when he was a heal you always had that thing where you couldn’t not like him. Would love to hear Vince on for a podcast with you mate to hear his opinions on wrestlers he’s worked with over the years. Well done Brian another top interview 👏💙

Part of what made Shawn Michaels so great since his return in 2002 was his ability to steal matches and make his rivalries entertaining WITHOUT being the WWE Champion! :) Sure, he has been the challenger sometimes and I was always fingers crossed, believing this one could be the one! Especially around Wrestlemania 23 against Cena where he was THE guy, or in his great rivalry against Jericho (really great together). I wish we could hear him a bit about Chris Benoit but I guess we won't as long as he will be a part of the business. HBK is the greatest wrestler and sport entertainer for me and while many fans remember him from the 90's, I have always been way more impressed by what he delivered since 2002 and the 10 years that followed :). Thank you Shawn :)

I couldn't agree more with you. He also wrestled better performers after 2002. Wrestlers were not as athletics in the 90s as they were in the 2000s. The dream match that never happened HBK vs AJ Styles. Imagine that.
@shawnmichaelsdu85

@@jonazmunoz8247 Would have been great :). Now AJ Styles is like many others: he has been champion and since then, nothing really interesting ^^'. The same for Kofi Kingston, etc. Seems like the WWE likes making everyone champion but once they are not anymore, they lose interest :/. Speaking of dream match, if I remember correctly, we should have had Shawn Michaels VS Eddie Guerrero at Wrestlemania 22 (instead of Vince McMahon). Could have been a great rivalry :)
