+PlymouthVT - same here; never get tired of hearing his playing with that metronomic groove of his (impossible though that should be in theory!) Brian Dunne seems to have taken over at LFDH nowadays and is also superb. Pelton's love of drums is just infectious though . . .

Amazing interview! Great questions posed to one of the top NYC session musicians of all time. In addition to outstanding talent, chops, instinct as a drummer, Shawn has such a keen intuitiveness about what each client is looking for. This is a must watch for anyone who wants to work in a professional studio environment. Bravo!

Love this. Shawn is an incredible, down to earth guy who really loves what he does. He speaks the truth about the music biz and what it's like to be a WORKING musician--unlike everyone's perceptions of the idea of the CELEBRITY musician--which is an entirely different thing. Shawn works his ass off and it shows. Stellar cat. Groove on!
