I love North Berwick and go there for daytrips whenever I‘m in Edinburgh. I always travel by bus 124, though. Takes longer than the train, of course (1.5 hrs), but it‘s a lovely trip.

Very nice. It was a treat that you investigated The Lodge grounds. I haven't been in the grounds since I was in the Primary School, which was then half way up Law Road and is now the East Lothian Council building. We used to play hide and seek in the grounds. It would be lovely if you go to North Berwick again to do a walk along the beach down to the Glen Golf Club and then up through the Glen itself and back to town past the playing fields.
