Hello, friends! If you enjoyed the video and wanted to support my channel, I've just started a "Buy me a Coffee" (in my case it would be tea) page which I'll link here: buymeacoffee.com/shawnaexplores but please don't feel any pressure to, the fact you're here and watching already means so much to me 🥰

Wow Shawna, your 2024 output has been impressive! 👏 And this was another purely delightful video! 😊 East Linton looked so lovely, and the Mill was so cute! That darn train though 🙈 Thanks for following up on the book at the end; that does sound like a neat story. P.S. don’t apologize for the wind 😉

Thank you so much, Patrick! I've just been enjoying KZbin so much this year and feel so inspired to film lots of different videos so I really appreciate that you enjoy them!! We had the best time at East Linton and already planning our return visit to explore more.

Wonderful! East Linton is so cute & charming! I really loved The Night Owl Bookshop there as well! It was also so cute & looked like it had so many interesting books & items. i also loved The Mart! It had such unique wee places to shop & eat there. I especially loved the Farm Shop. So full of delicious foods & produce! I really love Farm Shops! Actually the whole area is really beautiful around East Linton. It was also lovely to see Preston Mill! I remember it well from Outlander. That was a rather hair raising scene & close encounter for Jamie with the British soldiers there. I wonder if Jamie's shirt is still down there somewhere? LOL. You never know! Thank you for sharing another delightful experience in this charming place! Blessings to you!

Thank you so much for your delightful comment, Annie!! The Night Owl Bookshop has become one of my favourite bookshops and I can't wait to return and ask for more book recommendations. We're hoping to try the Mart's cafe next time! I'm so glad you've watched Outlander and can remember the scene, such a riveting watch! Hope you're having a lovely week 😊

Preston Mill and East Linton are my happy place. If you go back you must visit Smeaton Nursery Gardens. There is a beautiful circular walk around a hidden pond (and a lovely tearoom). And the walk along the River Tyne is a must - (look out for the Phantassie Doocot). 😁

That’s high on my list! We were going to try and visit but ran out of time 🙈 thanks for the extra info, didn’t know about the lovely walks! ☺️

The village looked so lovely and the walk to Preston Mill beautiful. No wonder you got distracted by the houses! I’d live in any of them. And I loved the wreath on the bookshop door😊

Oh how magical is the Preston Mill? It looks like something from a fairytale! ✨ Lovely video as ever, Shawna. Curious to try The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane as I’ve never heard of it before today 📖

It's SO beautiful!! It was lovely to see the daffodils out too. I just finished the book yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it, especially since I'm a big tea fan and part Chinese, it was really interesting learning more about a different culture! Hope you're having a lovely week, Jem ❤️

If you get a chance to visit Smeaton Garden Centre when it's a sunny day then please do. It's a lovely walled garden centre with a cute cafe and shop. I discovered Preston Mill while out walking my then baby for her nap. It was a lovely discovery despite the rain. Your video certainly did East Linton justice.

Hi Shawna, I am new to your channel and I wanted to let you know that I really enjoy your videos. I am Australian but my mother's family (way back) was originally from Inverness so I love seeing Scotland's town and villages. I named my son Alexander before I found out that he is descended from a long line of Alexanders! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for your kind comment, means so much!! I visited Inverness for the first time last year and really regret not filming my visit, hopefully I can return soon. What an amazing story about your son's name 😍
