"Ordinary World" is considered by Musical critics to be the greatest song Duran Duran has ever written. This song reached #1 on the US Billboard Top 40 Chart and was a Top 5 Hit Song in 10 other Countries worldwide. Opera singer Luciano Pavarotti was so impressed that he did a Duet with Lead Singer Simon Lebon for a live War Child benefit concert in Italy seen by Millions across the World.

This one comes from the heart, and is probably the song of theirs most most people can relate to. If almost any other band had created this masterpiece then it would without any doubt be considered their magnum opus, but this is Duran Duran, and they've had other absolute bangers that are at least equally as great as this. Such a legendary band.

Remember !! Bigger isn't always better and great things come in small packages 👍🏼👍🏼 Our country is currently and has been for a while in crisis but in the UK music has always been our saviour💓💓, from John O' Groats in Scotland to the tip of Lands End in England we have since the late 1950's been blessed with by far the best music and musicians in the world, for me personally being born in 1965 the 1980's and 1990's were just superb, having turned 15 in 1980 this decade came at just the right time for me as it was when I came of age and started going to the cinema watching 18+ movies 🤭 and going into pubs and clubs 💘💘, If someone ever invents a time machine please take me back with you to those wonderful years where the only thing I had to worry about was if I had enough £££'s in my pocket to go out pubbing and clubbing, Ahhh such wonderful and memorable times 🥰🥰, keep safe everyone and God Bless the UK💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘.

Grief Counselors can save a life using this song as therapy for a patient who lost somebody and the world they created together. I lost my wife in 2019 and "our world" died with her. I never appreciated Duran Duran till two years later when this song broke through the grief that was killing me. "Ordinary World" delivered the message I couldn't receive from others who tried to help me. It's a special song that had to be incredibly difficult for Simon LeBon to write and sing without breaking down.

Duran Duran is a great band, with a lot of different styles. This is one of their "quieter" songs, but it's a great one. Another softer song that is excellent is 'Save a Prayer". "Hungry Like a Wolf", "The Reflex", and "Notorious" are some staples. Keep up the great work! Simon LeBon is their lead singer.

Great song. Simon LeBon - one of the smoothest cats to ever come out of the 80s! There’s more where that came from. These guys were chart toppers. They even did a Theme song for a James Bond movie. Roger Taylor was a big part of the band too. He was producer for some bands, wrote a lot of music.

@@charliegeorge9393 Perhaps. Know that Duran Duran's Roger Taylor does not write music for other artists or produce other bands. He's performed with Arcadia, The Power Station and with Duran Duran when he wasn't in the band- during his interim after he left the band and then rejoined the band. He was also in an electronic dance band called Freebass in 1997-1998 with Marco Silver. Roger Taylor also DJ''d back then and has since he rejoined Duran Duran on occasion.

In the MTV generation videos were everything and we waiting with great anticipation for the next Duran Duran video! This song is from the nineties and they still tour and make new music! They have lasted so long because they are so versatile! They even split into two separate bands in the mid-eighties, Arcadia and The Power Station, and had huge hits with them and then reunited to continue their reign as Duran Duran!! Simon Le Bon is the lead singer! You should check out their early stuff from the eighties! Their many hits include, Hungry Like The Wolf, Rio, The Reflex, Notorious, New Moon On Monday, I Don’t Want Your Love, Wild Boys, Save A Prayer, and more!❤️❤️
