So the meaning of this song is often misunderstood,he isn’t saying she’s unforgiven so he can’t be with her,he’s saying that she’s unforgiven like him so she understands him “I take this key and I bury it in you because you’re unforgiven too” It’s the key to his heart

Jaymz wrote unforgiven trilogy to exercise some of his own demons as always left it vague enough for it to mean something special for each of us, I'm biased cause they my band since 83 but unforgiven is best trilogy! Love watching Shawn catch the groove & meaning as does Mel but watching Mel enjoy a guitar solo is so fun to watch, thanks to you both for doing what you do, for just being you & sharing yourselves with us 🤘

This song if one really pays attention to it. This song is about how Adam & Eve was not forgiven for their sin in the garden of Eden. How they felt like they let God YAH Almighty down. What Adam felt, she also felt & that we're still paying for them sins with everything in life.

if only you knew how sick the lyrics are in this song, 'lay beside me, this wont hurt i swear' talking about someone who hasnt had sex yet. 'she loves me not, she loves me still but she'll never love again' the feelings victims of sexual abuse can feel towards their abuser can still be a form of love but their perception of love has been distorted so 'they will never love again'. she lay beside me, but she'll be there when im gone, inferring he is older then her by a margin
