Nice rig. My kubota is way too light for me and my 5 foot rotary cutter just throws it around :) at 30 hp and 1800 pounds with me on it. I'd love one of those but having a hydrostatic transmission would be a must have. Massey is an awesome tractor .👍

I thought about that but I'm used to a clutch set up. Less to go wrong with it. Weight was why we went with a fill size tractor. It was a must to lift large squares

Congratulations Shawn, she's a beauty! I know that tractors are roughly $1000 per hp and at 74hp that's a lot of money. Did you ever consider buying a used machine instead of brand new? Cheers

Well massey is alot cheaper then john deere or kabota. Prices change each month as different sales are on . In Canada there is no tax on tractors over 60 horse plus I got quote s from different massey dealers and too see if each could beat the last dealers deal . This tractor at the time was 41,000 . It was alot cheaper then buying a compact tractor. The biggest compact tractor was 44,000

Get some 1/4" rods or pipes paint a line on the rods then hose clamp them to the cylinders till our used to the levers we done that to the cat bucket made it way easier for loading trucks , Nice Twactor !

Do you think 4 wheel weights vs loaded ties would be sufficient for loader work?
@ShawnCFarm5 жыл бұрын
All I have is the tires loaded and it has no problems picking two large squares up at a time. I dont recommend doing this as I'm not sure if it exceeds loader capacity or not but she will handle it. The weight of this tractor is one of the reasons I bought it over the compact tractors. That and the 74 hp of the engine. Loaded tires was free when I got the tractor. Not sure how not wheel weights are. But you could always buy them after. Coming up on 50 hours and I'm very happy with it so far.

I have a 1 ton ton counter weight on mine it wont lift the rear tires off the ground it will easily with a 900 pound till on the back though guessing you need 1600 to 1800 pounds in wheel weights

Nice.why did u chose one whitout cabin?
@ShawnCFarm5 жыл бұрын
Cant get a cab on that series and model. would have to move up to the 4700 series. Cab would also make it hard to get under trees and in and out of the barn

Nice tractor, now you just got to learn how to use it properly, and going tight out is one way too having parts break and lessen the life of the machine. Just saying !
