Some albums allow you to see your entire past, present, and future, and Disintegration is one of the best ever. Robert Smith’s hauntingly delicate vocals and the winding/mazelike soundscapes give you a sense of being everywhere and nowhere. The album is a masterpiece of its genre.

Pictures of you is an absolutely perfect song. All time classic. And Robert Smith does not get the credit he deserves for his guitar ability

They had been doing good album after good album for years and then made THIS, THE BEST ALBUM EVER MADE 😱😱😱🤷🏻♂️. Though very popular and "mainstream" Robert Smith doesn't receives the recognition he deserves as a composer; from the saddest and darkest to the joyfulest and even happiest, he's done everything maintaining an own style. He's like those "classical" composers, Mozart for instance, that could make very light-hearted pieces and very dark ones.

Disintegration…man I played the heck out of that album back in the day, my youngest daughter was born in ‘89 and so many nights I used to listen to this rocking her at night.

Takes me back to when I was living in the Isle of Skye. I bought the tape of Disintegration from the little record shop and I nearly wore it out. I still have it and its still my favourite Cure album. An absolute beauty!

Seeing this tour (twice luckily) starting out with Plainsong was magical as cheesy as it sounds. Might be my favorite concerts ever and I’ve seen a lot. Even saw them on their Kiss Me tour.

Disintegration, the album, is best listened to when laying on the floor staring at the ceiling in the dark. I wore out both a cassette and a CD of this.

This song was released my senior year of high school. It only received air time on alternative/ college stations or MTV but those of us who knew of Pictures of You knew it was special. Glad to see that it is holding up.

"Pictures of you" the quintessential high school teen angst breakup song. Lying in your bedroom with headphones listening to it while just knowing you will never heal from this intense heartbreak. Seems silly now to remember, but it is part of growing up.

Everyone feels like "if only I had the words, I would have said the right thing" about any memory they cherish and dwell on. They didn't have to break up. It's just a really cool exploration of an aspect of long last love. You could be so on love with someone that THAT becomes why it's the most important thing to you.
