So true Shawn, every time I get a new bike, I end up riding it home in the rain. Still I love living in the PNW.

Good luck with the denim black. Had a denim black street bob! Soft as hell. Sneezing would scratch it. Harley even said it was meant to look shit when I tried a warranty claim. Sold the bike due to the paint. Will have a Harley again but never any kind of denim
@ShawnSmoak5 жыл бұрын
This is my 3rd Black Denim Harley and I've had 100% fantastic luck with it... My Iron is over 6 years old, and the Street Glide Special survived a brutal 10 day Yellowstone trip - I was not kind to her. They always clean up easy and look absolutely flawless. Several friends (one with a Street Bob) have the same story to tell... Sorry you had issues with yours, that sucks! Thanks!!

The Slim is the 1st HD I ever took a real interest in, the very first time I laid eyes on one. Although it’s a little small for me, it is responsible for my currently owning a HD (RKC) after a lifetime of metrics. Gorgeous timeless motorcycle. Enjoy!

Notice the roads never subjected to freeze-thaw cycles, so they are smooth. In New York we have patched, pot holed, endlessly defect loaded pavement everywhere. Also how few other vehicles he passes, not like NaYawk.

Bro, I’ve always loved that bike. 23 1/2” seat height, lowest riding HD.... where in Oregon did u land this bike? I always thought I’d put the HD Nostalgic Grips on the bars, lower the back about and inch and a half so that rear fender comes down over that rear tire a bit more and maybe some Vance & Hines staggered exhaust.

Like your videos, watching several on the R Ninet variants confirmed that I would like an Urban GS which I just purchased. You seem very positive on all the machines you ride: Harley's Beemers and Can-Am's. Your "soft-tail slim" is in some ways similar to the Urban GS. How would you compare the two?

Good Lord that's a great picture. Is that the Hero 7 Shawn???
@ShawnSmoak5 жыл бұрын
It's actually my old Hero 5 Black... I was using the Hero 6 earlier on the SGS BDay ride (on the daily vlog side), and just swapped to the 5 for this ride. I keep my Hero 7 Black in a vlogging mode, as it became about 20% unreliable for motovlogging after the last update. Not even GoPro could figure it out... But as a handheld, I can catch it whenever it locks up - no lost ride footage this way! Lol Waiting for the Hero 8!! Thanks Scratch!

Do ever wish you had gotten the 114? I’m in the market for a new bike and love the Deluxe, but thinking about the Lowrider S with the 114. I know the 107 has all the power I’ll ever need, but I don’t want my bike to be obsolete in a year either. Just asking your opinion. Thanks!! I have been a fan for many years.

Shawn thanks for the cool ride on the softail. What’s nice about a Softail it has that old look Harley but modern technology but still has that mechanical feel to it just like my heritage softail people at a light will ask me is that from 1960. Be Cool and Ride Safe🏍🇺🇸

I had to watch just to see if you were still gushing over it like you did when you brought it home on the daily vlog. You toned down a bit... just a bit. LOL! I don't blame you though, some bikes just do that to you I suppose. Peace and love.
@ShawnSmoak5 жыл бұрын
There was a lot of gushing I cut out... Sometimes I get tired of my own self going-on about it. Lol Doesn't mean it wasn't there, it just hit the cutting room floor... But inside, I just want to go on-and-on about it, as I'm sure in love with this gal!! Thanks TJ!

@fatguy80675 жыл бұрын
The Slim is awesome, slowly becoming my Favorite, but then again do like the SGS & Iron, oh Crap. Apparently, Rob's no longer at Northwest HD, cause You dealed with Joey. I wonder if You've been seen by the same Train Engineer a number of times over the last few years and You're standing there and waving, with a different bike each time, like the different Spyder's, BMW's, all the Harley's, the DR and Ryker, that You've had as demo's or the few that You own. He's probably thinking this Dude, is gotta be Rich or related to Bill Gates. Thanks for taking Us for the ride.
@ShawnSmoak5 жыл бұрын
Lol, never thought about the same engineer passing by..? I wonder... Rob got a job outside of the motorcycle world a couple years ago, something he couldn't pass on. Sure miss him being there! Thanks!

First thing I would do is get rid of the shiny stuff.
@ShawnSmoak5 жыл бұрын
I've seen too many that have done just that and the bike's shape style gets lost... Becomes a shapeless black blob. Cool if you like the full stealth look... Lol Thanks!
