Even if the skunk wouldn't spray someone who picked it up by the tail, chances are it would still bite them! As this video demonstrated, skunks are very good at doubling back along their length, and as members of the weasel family, they have powerful jaws for their size.
@gunfisher46614 жыл бұрын
When I was a kid running my trap line I used to release the stinky little varmints so as not to deal with the smell. The procedure was to casually and slowly walk up to them as they werent very energetic after being in the trap all night and I`d use a long forked stick like for a snake and pin their tales down to the ground and release them that way they won`t spray and ruin my trap set , they would just run off after wards. Did that for years and never had one spray.

Shawn I love the respect for animals that you're passing on to your children. So many wouldn't recognize the charm in someone who ownz a species as a pet, while simultaneously exterminating their wild (and sometime invasive) brethren as well. I've owned rabbits and rats as pets as an example, yet I've slaughtered and eaten rabbits and exterminated rats as needed, often while I was still loving and protecting their pet brothers/sisters. The duality of man.

Look at where he lives. He'd need to make the barn completely pest proof to eliminate all of the blighters. Its called pest control and not pest eradication for a reason.
@Oakleaf7004 жыл бұрын
@@aviendha1154 Indeed- the barns where son has workshop has rats- they don't use baits, simply because the rats tend to keep their populations stable- and no foodstuffs are made there. The rats will take any human food left out though! I learned that to my cost- left a packet of chocolate powder drink in a bag hanging up, and a pecan danish overnight- and the rats got both. My own fault- son warned me specifically about not leaving any food out, but I thought bagged and hanging up would be ok.
@AJR-zg2py4 жыл бұрын
He lives in the middle of nowhere - look at the size of those fields and wooded areas. Even if he sets up all his traps, he will never EVER catch them all. People underestimate how quickly they breed - and Shawn basically lives on a major spawn point. The barn also provides food and shelter... so at least there's lots of "business" in making trap videos lol
