So, early in my life, I never imagined I would be this fascinated by a history of mouse traps. I guess you never know who you will become.

I say the same all the time! My passion is duck hunting (didn't develop until my 20s) and my occupation is an engineer that designs heating & cooling (HVAC) systems. So at 43 years old I like to say that I did not grow up thinking that my life would revolve around ducks and ducts, but here I am.

You know Shawn, you are most probably one of the foremost mousetrap experts in the world. Not only do you have the knowledge but you also have a notable collection of traps. How about _you_ author a book, not only on traps but on trapping techniques that would help both professionals and homeowners? You’re extremely knowledgeable and self-effacing. I’d buy any book you wrote and I’m sure so would many others.

Just amazing and entertaining. Whenever I watch a video about such old contraptions I gauge it with my grandfather who was born in 1895. Using that year as a point of reference, I am amazed that there was patented technology before even his time!

Shawn - I wish I could get you to not manhandle the fragile paper labels on your antique traps. Every time you brush against the paper with your fingertip or fingernail, you risk flicking off a brittle speck of paper, thereby reducing the value of your trap. Please be careful!

Shawn, I would love to see more of your mouse, rat collection of vintage traps. I enjoy the history on each and every one of of your traps. They are so interesting and I enjoy when you talk about the history of the many traps in your collection. Even if you could do one history a month, that would be nice. But I have to be honest with you, I would love to see two history videos a month. You have a wonderful collection and it sure would be interesting to learn about mouse traps that are 3 or 400 years old or more. Share with us what you paid for the traps and what they would be worth today. If you could work that into your Mouse trap Mondays, that would be so nice. Thank you,Shawn, for sharing your knowledge of traps with your audience. Thanks again and I look forward to your next video.🐀

A book review along with the most of the actual traps is a 12 on a 10 scale. I am baffled as to why you would catch mice or rats and then let them go? I know you say some are part of the eco system. They can be part of someone else's eco system but I would take them way out of town, then it becomes a fuel cost issue. "Oh what a tangled web we weave, when we first practice to de*****." I do Not mean you Shawn, hope You know who I mean tho.
