Sam Witwer (Being Human, Star Wars) joins us this week and we get deep. He opens up about reassessing his life and how people’s impression of him being a screw up molded his self image for years.
Sam talks about how this industry encourages people to hide vulnerability and put up a front; and how some of the false fame that can come as a side effect of this can be harmful to your mental health.

I was able to speak with Sam Witwer at Star Wars celebration. He was late to his autograph signing because he had another show that went over its timeslot. Because of this he went above and beyond to spend extra time with people! There was probably 200 of us in line and he spent what seemed like five minutes with everyone instead of just a 30 second hello and autograph! Love this guy in the Star Wars universe!

Zod was played by Callum Blue, not Sam once Zod's run was over. Wither was already casted as Bloom/ Doomsday by that point. The nude scene as a stand in for Zod but he was always supposed to play DD/Davis Bloome went uncredited from Smallville trivia IIRC.

This was a really impactful episode for me. I also grew up in Indiana as a creative kid that people didn't know how to handle. Always doing voices, making music, and trying to entertain people. There was one choir teacher who understood my chaos, and would let me come to her class and play piano or bring my guitar. So cool that Sam Witwer talked about seeing Mask of the Phantasm in theaters and Michaels story of the Justice League tribute to Kevin! Michael and Sam have so much to talk about, between Smallville, voice acting, horror, and farting! Did you guy's just become best friends?! I cannot recommend this episode enough, soo much fun!

Sam Witwer shaped so many things I still love that could of easily ended up being bit parts or forgettable. That's the true mark of an incredible actor is making those parts your own and making an audience see and hear your unforgettable passion. On top of that, he matches his talent with kindness and brevity. Thank you sir for all you have given us over the years and more to come.
