Good thing you made this video - you answered my question on that pump, doesn't work for what I need so now I am buying an ejector pump. Thanks.

Thank you for sharing this video. I am looking for a way to pump water from my creek into a rain barrel. I thought my idea would work until I saw this video. You saved me lots of time, money, and energy. Thank you. ❤ I will definitely try to find a way to create a filter system with the non submersible pump.

I’m looking at that pump for use with rain barrels. Even then, I’d install filters to keep any dirt out etc. Lost time and lost money are two of the best teachers!

Extension cord is just for liability because people use those little white (non grounded) lamp cords that are underrated for the amount of amp draw etc. don’t worry about that. Seems like your pump should have worked, maybe it was clogging at the inlet. And those were replacement motor brushes. Love your humbleness and honesty. Keep it up man!

That was a cool video. Totally understand the BS that comes with not having tools/euipment. Which is why, like you, I buy everything I need one time and have it for net time. Because there will always be another need. Thanks for sharing!

Joseph you are so correct... I am thinking about buy things and just selling it even if it is a 1 time use Item... I will sell it to save what it would have cost to rent... I can keep it as long as I feel I need that way... Much Respect brother and thanks again... you the man...

I think you did great. For that little bit of water I’d have used the same thing. Get yourself a heavy extension chord. The heaviest you can find. Keep that little pump for a soft-wash setup or something.

Thank you for this. I think you almost had it but dirt got caught in the intake. I don’t think the ext cord OR the water was bad it’s just was probably hard to keep the intake hose from sucking up too much mud. Anyway who cares those kids are what really matter and they was having fun! Anyway great video!!

Hahaha, feeling your frustration. No, not just you. These things happen to all of us. I am a lady on 13 acres, trust me I am laughing WITH you not AT you. I bot the Drummond 63317 transfer pump to transfer water from some full barrels to some empty ones I placed on a pallet. That way I can easily move heavy barrels around with my tractor, but I was not able to get pump to work!

It is not a junk pump,read the instructions and you will find that your in side of house can't pull more than 10 or 15 feet,your out side ,they say no more than 25 ft but it will eject further than it can suck up!! I've used this same pc4 pump as a lawn spraying pump for weeds and fertilizer with a 30 gal drum on a cart,50 ft of out hose with a fan spraying nozzle and a 100 ft xtention cord and it works great. Keep your intake hose short and out of mud,as you lower the water level,dig a small hole to get rest out. Great pump,learn from me and your mistake,this pump will run multiple sprinklers,make sure u use the largest hose size,if you can!!!

Ok I could use some help on this issue. My water heater doesn’t have a pan and is connected to solid pipes so lifting it isn’t an option. I created a box using sheet metal around the heater and caulked it to make it “water tight”. So my next step is to find a small pump that say my heater starts to leak and it builds up will suck the water out. Research shows a condensate pump would work but not sure exactly how to set it up.
@Mate2Frio3 жыл бұрын
Hope the new one works out for you. The one inch one is still on the small size for $21 more the two inch "simi trash" one would have been better. That said you work with what you have as a home owner.

I have one. I wouldve shorten the hoses. And made sure not to let mud get sucked into the intake. Thats probably what happened. Was working fine. Could put the end of the intake in a box

I used a pump cheaper than yours to pump out water worse than yours. It can be done. But it is a pain. You have to more or less hold the suction hose about an inch underneath the water and not much further else you will start sucking up dirt and clog the pump. I had to clean mine out several times but eventually got the job done. You will likely need an affluent pump or sewage pump designed to handle dirt and other objects like small rocks. Im sure you know this by now.

We bought one of these from Harbor Freight and can't get it to work. Prime it, plug it in, prime it, plug it in. Three of us trying to get it to work, wasting hours. It's a piece of crap. Not cheap and you can't return it to the store.
@shawspeaks82524 ай бұрын
I am sorry to hear that. Mine worked but not how I needed. I feel bad because I let mine, which was working just fine, go to waste. I didn’t even try to return mine. I left it in the elements too long. I am sure it would not work today. Make me want to try. Thanks for watching and for telling your story.
