If you want your water pump to last longer have that suction hose end float 4 inches below the surface of the water so it is not picking up so much dirt and sand and silt. The pump will last 10x longer than if you pump dirty sandy silty water.

Where'd you get the intake hose and how'd you connect it?
@bombswabs30419 ай бұрын
oh one last thing. Its good to run some very clean water through the pump and hose when finished. This will clean out any dirt and debris remaining inside the pump. fill a bucket full of water from the household hose. Leave the hose running into the bucket to keep it filled. Run the pump suction hose inside the bucket for about 10 minutes and everything will be nice and clean for next time.

Great video! I actually bought this same pump a few years ago prior to a huge rain maker system that hit the South Florida area. This little 1" Predator pump saved me from an expensive flooded home and all of the expenses that come with that nightmare!!

Where did you buy the intake hose?
@Charliemmafan10 ай бұрын
I don't know much about these water pumps but I'm assuming you can't use like regular water hoses on them is that right? I want to buy one but I really don't want to spend extra money on expensive hoses if I don't have to obviously and I know the bigger intake ones that are like semi trash and full trash that are like 2 inches around or 3 inches around regarding the hoses compared to just 1 inch around will pump even more water and small debris better than this pump plus the motors are bigger with more cc's and more gallons per minute or gallons per hour compared to this one but I think this pump looks like it would be good enough for me possibly because it looks like it works great for you but I want to be able to pump water out of a well that has water that isn't too far down but I'm not sure how far down the water is but I can see it from the surface so I don't know if this pump would pump it from the distance that it is down from the distance that it is down up to the surface to feed sheeps that water but I have to research them all more but thanks for sharing the video for sure!

The hoses are not super expensive I bought more than I needed. The intake hoses are braided for support and the discharge hose is just a floppy type hose. I learned a lot from this pump. I am glad I got it. I dont have many reasons to use it anymore but I am glad I still own it. Thank you for watching and even more for taking the time to leave a comment. Much Respect

Hot sauce on my burrito 🌯 R.I.P. J.W. He was up there with the best. Yeah that’s goes on end of hose in the water your pumping keep debris out
@bombswabs30419 ай бұрын
I used a small garden hose set in side a bucket full of water and the other end inside the prime outlet. This kept the pump constantly primed in case the suction hose became clogged keeping water from making its way into the pump. If your suction hose or pump become clogged the pump should suck the water from the prime inlet into the pump to keep it primed giving you time to shut if off and clean it out and avoid damage to your pump running with no water. Glad this worked for you.

SAE-30 motor oil is good to run in those engines for break in purposes then can use synthetic blends of motor oil in that engine. Lucas fuel treatment is good to get for your FUEL.,or can use ethanol free FUEL to it's ⛽ gasoline without ethanol in it is all. Witch will let your engine run cooler to when in use as well to bud. A suggestion only to you would be to invest in some of that fuel to help save.& protect your gasoline powered water pump. You can use 10W30 motor oil.

Could you hook a garden hose to it with a spray nozzle? And use the spray nozzle when needed? Or would it burn out the motor/build up pressure in the hose that had the spray nozzle hooked up to it?
@jasonhawks22252 жыл бұрын
Have to have a pressure relief bypass or would cause damage to pump.

Just wait and see the arsenal you’ll have in few years. Once you get a tractor you’ll need things you never dreamed of. All different projects and task you’ll be doing. Then the tools to fix the parts you break. You might want check into a welder. You’ll definitely need stuff put back together. On tractor or attachments. But anyway look how far you come in short time. So on that you know keep those video’s rolling and them feet strolling. Stay safe. From ur wv neighbor.

Paul brother you are correct... lol I just bought a jackhammer it will be here soon... then I also have a welder that I am look at as well... now that you let me know it is something I should be looking into... I think I will get it.. I was looking at a stick welder its the only kind I have ever really used and I only used it to fix a trailer and that was almost 15 years ago... I have a lot to learn... looks like a lot of videos will be coming soon... lol more tools, but where do I put all this stuff.

@@shawspeaks8252 yes sir. Tractor means work. Both sides for you and against you( when broke). Probably if me I get mig welder more veritable for beginners and if you have little experience you’ll be good. Stick welder good to just need be little more on hands feeding stick in puddle. Melting metal is puddle. But also flux core wire for mig u can weld outdoors. When u use mig with gas u need the air around you not be blowing hard. That’s the flux for ur wire. It’s like the crumble stuff on stick welding rods. U can make tent rigs to cut wind. But I use flux core works good. I have a Hobart 140 love that little thing. I had Lincoln to like them a lot to. I have about 550-600$ in mine that’s with new hood self darking one there cheaper now and good investment use cut ,weld ,grind.any way that’s what I did for living in WV.FL. Ur neck of woods Ohio. Built few coal cleaning plants one in stubinville. Had some good times up there. Anyway if u need help on what to get welding wise or help with fabrication and welding don’t hesitate to holler. I think u have email and phone number call tx be glad to help and u know. Keep those video’s rolling and them feet strolling. Stay safe

I think you made a mistake by not using the pump to blast the mud in the hole so the pump could then remove some of your mud for you. The impeller type pumps can move a high percentage of dirt and not harm themselves.

Cody, Whats up? Glad to see another comment from you. you just brought another reason why I do these videos. I used this pump to get 2-1/2 feet of water out of my basement. I am used to having fuel shut offs on my lawn mowers to protect the carburetors. If I want to run the motor without pumping water just to start it from time to time can the motor run for a few minutes without damaging the pump?

Graham... I like you... you watched and left a comment... means the world to me so I am going to do a little rundown for you on what you asked... lol So when I first bought my home... I notice a rock that was just above ground when I cut the grass... I was worried that I would hit it one day with the mower... well For a few years I just cut around it... then I decided I would just turn the area into a wildflower bed... that worked one year until I took a big tiller to the area... you see where this is going... good thing for you I have made a ton of video on the matter... I hope you watch them all but in case you dont... I will continue... So I have a neighbor come out and till with his tractor... he kept hitting Concrete all over the area...My neighbors told me tales of all the concrete I would find in my yard... (Last owner owned a concrete company, and Builders from over 30 years ago used my yard as build site dump ground... plus it looks like the farmer who sold the land might have used the very spot to retrieve water from the ground... I thing thagt is what that is... now bringing up up to date... I bought a tractor back in Dec... I started digging and the rock has just gotten bigger and bigger... I am down 6 feet at this point and I have still not found the bottom of the rock... well I hope that has caught you up on my journey ... but about the water pump...it has worked well to keep the water out the hole... I have had to move so much dirt removing this rock I have decided to create a pond in the area... I have broked up the rock one time already and plan to do it one more time... Graham... I hope My reply was helpful to you... I tried to make the story as short as possible... if you want the long version... hit the Sub button and stay tunned... even check out some of my older videos... I try not to leave anything out... Much Respect Brother

@@shawspeaks8252 Thank you for this clarfication...I will check your other videos. It sounds like you have "landmines" buried who knows where!!! That really makes tilling, leveling, and grading so much more difficult. I cam across your channel because of the Harbor Freight pump review. I just bought a 212cc 2" Predator pump to initially use to drain a huge eroded area in front of a poorly designed culvert that runs under my driveway road. I think that whole area, and the culvert were built above grade, and the heavy thunderstorms here in Texas take a lot of silt and dirt with it if it cannot be slowed down in flow. Anyway, right now it's a skeeter breeder and I can't stand getting in there to start regrading until I get the water out. My hope is Harbor Freight to the rescue....I have seen good reviews, eve on your 1" model. We'll see in about a week when Amazon delivers all my suction and discharge hoses, and cam lock couplers. Keep on, Brother!
