Our house burned down in July and we thought it would be a good way to earn our way out of the ashes that has become our lives. Marleny XO I re-opened my shop at the beginning of this month, and I’ve sold 13 shirts so far. You just have to share it on all of your social media once you create the shop, and you’ll get the sales.

I've been sabotaging myself for a while to start on Etsy: it's not ready, not good enough, not perfect, etc. It even didn't matter if others told me how nice it looked. Thank you for this video! I have been waiting FOREVER to open my sticker shop. I've been keeping a printer, Cricut machine, and other supplies in my Amazon cart for months, and I finally committed to purchasing them in December. Now I'm brainstorming designs, and I just gotta DO IT. When we first start out, the first few won't be perfect, but we can always look back on where we were and get better every time. Did all of your customers come from your KZbin channel? Because I've been on etsy for almost a year and I've made less than you in total! I've made 2449.33 and that is fees and taxes included. I think if that's the case you should mention that in your video. Of course you have worked hard on your KZbin channel so that's why in would be good to mention as not everyone has already a platform established to begin with. I know this is a year old and also haven't watched any other of your videos which i will do so now, but this is what came to my mind just from watching your video and you for the first time 🙂

The standard for any retail store is earning .05 on the $1. Yes only 5cents. It breaks down like this: 60% of every dollar-Product cost(PAPER ,INC, ENVELOPES) 35%-Extra expenses-(ALL TAXES, ins., building mantinance empolyees cost, bills,health ins, Equipment REPAIR,profit sharing, savings for company, ETC...) 5% - PROFIT All the billion dollar corperations down to small retail shops should use this standard. The really successful ones do.

I think it’s ridiculous that Etsy charges 5% of shipping now. The items I sell are not very expensive and I usually charge exact shipping. 😑

I think that it also factors in that you have built such a great 'Budget' brand on KZbin so that when you rolled out your sticker line, people were like "FINALLY" and were already a built in audience. I started my Etsy shops a year ago and have made a few sales in one and none in the other (not sticker shops though) so while I'm glad I started, it's definitely been an ongoing, uphill struggle. One of the reasons I started my own YT is to showcase my items but also showcase my planning journey... As always, thank you for sharing your journey with us. When my planner group friends found out they asked me if I was going to open a Etsy shop. I wasn’t sure however my marriage of 13 years ended on Christmas (it’s a good thing) but I want to make a little extra money for my two boys and I to do fun things. However, I’ll tell you now that I work my full-time job 9 to 5-ish Monday through Friday so about 40 hours of my time are invested into my full time job, 20 hours a week into Etsy & 10 into KZbin.
