Everyone has a right to express their opinion. It's a fundemental right. Realize it and learn to live with it.

@NPderive They talk much but don't do much outreach, and they forget that following in the foot steps of the prophet is about helping the poor, the destitute...the victims of Imperialism. Islam is about standing up for those that have been marginalized. This person is great public speaker and not much else.

Agreed, from his opening statement he was quite clearly having digs at Blair and his regime and I think Blair knows it. It's like watching chinese water torture, the comments seem harmless but they're having an effect on the recipient. Watch again and notice the steady discomfort of Blair rise every time Hamza Yusuf speaks.

This Hamza guy is just full of it! It's all about the 15 min of fame. There are more noble people working with the poor and helpless that deserve our attention. This guy is a biiiiiig talker.

@articocean giving alms is something that one should do privately, I agree. But you see, the prophet of Islam went out of his way to reach out to the poor and the destitute. He helped relieve them of hunger and the other ills of poverty. I am sure that many muslim scholars are well aware of this, yet this is one example that they fail to follow....I wonder why.

No he's just making a whole lot of noise. He could write a scholarly paper if he wanted to expose "murderers"

@olivetribe Leave the judging the intention/ghaib to Allah.
@Oo786oO14 жыл бұрын
@olivetribe That's not an opinion but reality. Allah alone judges intentions and what's in the ghaib, not man. Are you denying this to be truth?

What is "not true at all"? We sure do pull out the welcome wagon when it comes to newbie muslims, What about Muslims that were born into the faith for many generations, why must we look away when it comes to those that were born into the faith for many generations.

Salaam, i have watched all the parts so-far and on every page some muslim brothers or sisters have said how great Hamza Yusuf is but he should not be sitting with Tony Blair. And i understand and respect this view! But how about we just let Allah deal with him and you keep your opinions to yourself! i wonder would these same people disagree with Our Beloved Prophet{s.a.w.s} when he forgave Hind who ate Hamza's{r} intestine!!!!

Sh. Hamza Yusuf got tricked into attending this conference.

when following Tony during his speech, his look his gestures, his voice tone express a kind of shame fearness anxiety... often he daren't look at the audience avoiding their criticism or any blame that could be laid on him. Anyway May God forgives him and brings him out of darkness to the light. He is The All-Knowing, The Wiser!

@iisaguru What I listen to is absolutely none of your business. I stay away from people that think everyone is damned. Especially the type that tell people what to do in the name of Allah, when they talk what comes out of their mouth is hate and anger. Then they go off on their rants about how god loves beauty.

@rasheeed07 what wrong with having good opinion of other people ? dont be like the people who have a disease in their heart n i am sorry i said that but ur hate comment has too many thumps up to neglect, as salam u alaikum

@NPderive You think that I have never listened to this man speak...well your wrong. I have found that he often contradicts himself. It'snot his fault. Many scholars today memorize the hadith word for word and then sing the praises of the prophet. You'll see them having great debates in forums and infront of large crowds. You'll never see them feeding the poor. Helping people get out of poverty.

@shafaq007 I'll admit, I have a thing for Hindi songs as well, but as for your opinion of brother Hamza, you're way off. He's very effective, and has influenced a good deal of positive change. It's not an easy task, however one undertakes it. Some are better at certain types of work, and this Sheik is brilliant. I love seeing him. Had the opportunity to listen to him once at an ISNA convention in Ohio. Would like to go to another soon Insha'Allah...

@shafaq007 Listen, brother. Don't make assumptions about people this way, what do you know of the work brother Hamza does? You need to be a little more careful about how you talk of your muslim brothers and sisters.

@MrRuggedboy27, You've completely misunderstood my msg! Im actually a huge fan of Shaykh Hamza Yusuf, May Allah preserve him so that we can continue to benefit from him, Ameen. What i was trying to say is, The Prophet forgave Hind, so Shaykh Hamza sitting with Tony Blair is no big deal in comparison, Although one could say Tony blair is responsible for many deaths. Allahu Alim

It's all about power and fame. People that care for the UMMA don't do talk shows...they work as NGO trying to make a difference. Oh yes. I know this type of scholar all too well my friend.

@rasheeed07 oh right, my bad i just read it again n u were defending Sheikh Hamza it just feels bad when people of lesser knowledge like me speak bout people of knowledge n thus my comment mashallah for the clairification bro, jazakallahokhair, true, forgiving Hind was too big comparitively :)
