This is great information but my question is regarding Anasheed nowadays where they sing about Allah, the messengers, Sahaba and Islam in general not about evil and bad things. Nowadays they use voice backgrounds and sometimes a small bass beat. What does the hadith and quran say about this?

probably no music listener is gonna tell you that but believe me, as an ex-addicted listener I can confirm that it's the reason number 1 of sadness and depression. The closest thing we have about ourselves is the choices and the consequences of actions. Wallahi if you're sincere Allah can make it very easy for you so don't think "This will be hard and I will miss it." Delaying is how we stop ourselves from achieving triumph over our nafs, as Allah will always aid and reward the effort. If you think about it, what would the purpose of revelation be if we couldn't be changed? Chapter 53 (Najm, verse 32) Sahih International: Those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, only [committing] slight ones. Indeed, your Lord is vast in forgiveness. He was most knowing of you when He produced you from the earth and when you were fetuses in the wombs of your mothers. So do not claim yourselves to be pure; He is most knowing of who fears Him. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) gives us the advice to replace an evil deed with a good one. This is not only helpful for the account, but you need to fill the void of stopping a sin with something. You should fill it with a good deed. Assalamu-alaikum

@tubba-dg7to "Music has been around far longer than Islam" Your evidence for your statement? Or do you think Islam starts with Prophet Muhammad (SAW)? That already shows ignorance. Furthermore look at what rap music did to U.K. From one of the safer places to live, into the reputation for knife crimes. As for disbelievers they led a lifetime of disobedience to the Most Merciful. They had been given multiple signs and chances and non will enter hellfire except that they had openly rejected what they knew in their hearts to be true. If Allah had punished them for their disbelief right away they would not exist. Yet Allah provides for them. Out of what? There is nothing that can hold Allah accountable as Allah is the Exalted in Might. You only have 2 scenarios. What is said about Allah is true or God doesn't exist. There is evidence behind this or Muslims wouldn't obey and lead a lifestyle of discipline and morality. The "followers" of other religions are for the most part liberals who want to maintain the identity with their faith but can't believe in it fully after science has debunked false claims and myths. The foundation of atheism is proving false claims in religions to prove religions are false. But it will never do that with Islam as Allah promises the preservation (which we have carbon-dated evidence to back up).

Music it’s definitely an addiction, been fighting with it since reversing. I realized that the more I listened the more I didn’t get the same dopamine in my life and don’t feel fulfilled because things aren’t how I want to. When you detach yourself from reality and let the emotions, the words of the song guide your imagination and thoughts you are unconscious and conditioned. It’s literally like drinking and doing drugs your brain is not connected with your present state. I stopped 2 times and got back at it, when I get depressed I seek even more music and reassurance from people. Music will play a bad influence in your way to find balance how Allah swt wants us to be, it’s literally going against all Allah swt want for us. May Allah forgive us and guides us to detach from sins and find a way to keep our hearts safe

At the moment I’m a bit confused about something and I’d highly appreciate it if someone could explain it to me and guide me to the right path, I’m doing research on whether music is Halal or Haram, everywhere I go people talk about songs with lyrics, I myself agree that we should refrain from those kinds of music cuz they’re the most misleading. But I wanna know if music itself is Haram(without any lyrics), at the moment i have a playlist of some popular music but converted into Arabic versions of themselves, those attract me a lot and I wanna know if they too are haram. If you’re still confused about the music I’m talking about here’s a link to one of them kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZPQfXmYp9tkoNUsi=tddbC2pxJ-VGYXUY I wanna know if this type of music is Haram too cuz in the background there are some musical instruments being used that some scholars have declared halal with evidence from Hadith. 22:04 This is true. Whenever I read the Quran, when I read the translation to understand what the contexts are, there are some meanings where I don't quite understand, so I would look up on either google or yt (I don't yet have tafsir books) to find what the interpretations said about such ayats. But in general, I could understand what most of the revelation by Allah sent in the Quran, it's just maybe I could interpret it wrong, so when I am in waswas (doubts) I would research it myself via internet or asking my teachers Hopefully this is the right approach in sha allah. And we shall thank and give regards to our prophet Muhammad PBUH for giving dawah to all of us. May Allah guide us all, Ameen

Also just to add something, from what I heard and learned at this dawah from shaykh uthman : We should not put our hearts before our brain. By finding something that we don't have a general or in-depth understanding, our first instance should be to seek truth for the sake of Allah, and not following what we want rather than what we should follow and abide by. And Allah loves those who think, as said in the Quran.

The beats makes you feel high and then later we feel low, it causes sadness, depression. It also causes dependency on music and many people need it at many different times, some even listen to it while in washroom or bathroom. The lyrics stick to our mind and those lyrics are lewd, or someone crying about love or abusing their ex or some other liberal or stupid stuff and we may find ourselves repeating that. Astagfirullah. Just delete the apps, delete music, stop watching stuff with music, skip it, forward it or whatever you can do and inshallah you won't need it. Also, listen to the Qur'an and read it. and try to minimise or delete social media use.

السلام عليكم شيخ عثمان، the ayah from surah Luqman reads in full as " وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَشْتَرِي لَهْوَ الْحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًا ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ" the ayah is very clear that those people that are into what could include singing (not music) have the intention to guide people astray from the path of Allah sobhanhu wa ta3ala and make a mockery of his path. If those people that are into singing are not with the stated intention in the Ayah then the ayah does not apply to them. In other words , the ayah has nothing to do with instrument's playing I.e. music Also , you can't limit the meaning of an Ayah to what Abdullah in Masoud thinks, he is only a human and has been given no messages from the Almighty that we did not get. The Quran addresses the reader and we should use the brains that Allah gave us to understand it not follow the understanding of our fathers. رحمنا الله واياك و السلام عليكم
@raedhjh Жыл бұрын
Notice how the argument you put is about this person opinion and that person opinion. We have the Quran to refer to which is written in arabic. It is not difficult to understand. people opinions are good for them and their understanding. It does not apply to us reading the Quran and making our own understanding. Add to that, that those people are ot the Prophet, they are people just like you and me. They don't determine the religion, only the Almighty Allah subhanhu wa ta3ala does. When Allah subahnahu wa ta3ala mentioned the Ayaha he could have told us that " لَهْوَ الْحَدِيثِ" means music or singing, but he did not. Tafsir Alsaady is a good one because he did not bound it to music or singing. It is a generic condition that requires that the person also applies "لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًا" and if music or singing does not have those intentions then they do not fall under the Ayah. Singing and playing instruments with no intention of diverting from the path of Allah and mocking Allah'a Ayat has nothing wrong to it based on this Ayah's pure arabic meaning. Regarding "Samedoun", the Ayah is clear about those who ignore the quran with their form of entertainment. It is very consistent with the Ayah from surat Luqman. Its is not the musical instruments or the singing that is forbidden or discouraged, it is what these methods of entertainment are intended for, when they are intended to ignore Allah's ayat and his straight path, then they are leading to severe punishment in judgement day. If the intentions are good, words of the song are good, they encourage obediance to Allah, they are not used to mock Allah's ayat then there is nothing wrong with them.

You can literally find more information about any Ayah in the quran using a Google search than what any sahabah ever knew, and that is how it should be because understanding the quran should be science and we should always improve on our undertaking of the quran. Did the sahabah understand the numerical arrangements in the quran , they certainly did not, did they understand the reference to multiple darks in the ocean, they certainly did not, did they understand the stages of human development in the womb , they certainly did not , did they see the reference to black holes in surah Takweer , certainly not. How would your four witnesses be able to make up for those women who cheat and go behind closed doors and privacy with the amount of men they afford just because they’re attractive as most women are to most men naturally and now that they have the Internet they have an entire access of options of men that they can use, however they want and have multiples of lives and fantasize and urge towards these things- most men can’t do this as much as a Muslim woman who claims to be chaste will ruin your reputation just cause you don’t trust her sexually in marriage and therefore want to divorce. The amount of humiliation that is taught as “being humble” to men and telling men “it’s your ego” has a lot to do with ideas that don’t match the fundamentals of Islam and how being kind and in equity with women is only up until they are caught doing disgusting things But what’s hilarious is a lot of people can easily hide things by knowing how to gain your trust by saying words or doing something for you and then waste 20-30 years of your life being with a woman who fetishized other men and was truthfully ungrateful for her husband or has to overlook such things and the humiliation that men face. What do you manipulated men of these cultures that come from histories of worshipping women more than worshipping men do besides use mens desperation against him to get him to find a woman that he can’t know about as much as he’s told to BELIEVE. How do you think all of these sects exist in the first place? What about those kids who don’t know their father is not their father? Is that not ok to reassure on when paranoia on that is just as reasonable as men not trusting women who can’t prove they are virgin like us or expect us to tolerate being with a woman who treats us with nothing but our humiliation just by knowing how they are in the places of THE UNSEEN. We aren’t supposed to allow these things to happen -in a just way. There is no compulsion in our religion, and you know this, but to assume that my judgment is mistaken when he’s someone that speaking to groups of Muslims and giving advice without even referencing the Quran and the hadiths-yet you’re going to advocate for a Muslim who doesn’t even know that he’s doing what he’s doing and technically sounds like those racist Nation of Islam goobers that many racist women love to fetishize as some sort of weird cultural ritual while humiliating certain races of men as unappealing based on their genes. But now you live in a culture where we’re being told to tolerate Muslim women who we know nothing about and even if it’s our preference and Islamic right to not get involved with a woman we’re unsure of -you’re still going to say that we are the ones who are wrong, and we are the weak ones. When there are studies that even show you that Egyptian women happen to be more abusive than American women towards their husbands and probably not their lovers or fantasies they keep to themselves through. The fact that women are being given more money just to make up for the man that they’re being with and yet we men are fooled into being with unknown women saying things in secret like black men and white men are more appealing for sex and then separating them from the man that they want to have children with and hide their intentions as “mistakes “ or something unfair in it’s observations. Which is completely humiliating regarding how men and women are carrying themselves, and how you speak about Muslims is all based on observation itself and making sure that Muslims as brothers and sisters and families in general - Qur’an 2:190: “And fight in the way of God with those who fight with you, but aggress not: God loves not the aggressors.” 78:40 ) “Indeed, We have warned you of a near punishment on the Day when a man will observe what his hands have put forth and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish that I were dust!" “O you who believe! You are forbidden to inherit women against their will. Nor should you treat them with harshness, that you may take away part of the dowry you have given them - except when they have become guilty of open lewdness On the contrary live with them on a footing of kindness and equity. If you take a dislike to them, it may be that you dislike something bad Allah will bring about through it a great deal of good. (Quran, 4:19) "Do not abuse the dead, for they have reached the result of what they have done. Sahih al-Bukhari 6516 "AND LET THERE BE [ARISING] FROM YOU A NATION INVITING TO [ALL THAT ISI GOOD, ENJOINING WHAT IS RIGHT AND FORBIDDING WHAT IS WRONG, AND THOSE WILL BE THE SUCCESSFUL." [3:104] (O you who believe) . . . help one another in piety and goodness and do not help one another in sin and aggression Suratul Mai’dah (No. 5), Ayat 2 And those who do not judge by what Allah has revealed are ˹truly˺ the disbelievers.(5:44) “There is no compulsion in religion, the right direction is clearly distinguished from the wrong." (Quran 2:256). “O you who believe! Be afraid of Allaah, and be with those who are true (in word and deeds).” [al-Tawbah 9:119] “To you be your religion, and to me my religion (Islamic Monotheism).” [109:6] Btw- if “divorce never existed before Islam was reintroduced to the world” - then The good are those who are being truthful and are good in their deeds, and that is a righteous person. And peace is being able to turn your back and can easily trust the urges of those you value and they can trust you in that regards too. But when believing isn’t knowing - then that makes an issue as well. Good luck finding truth for these things as much as truth is abused for it’s value no different than freedom being used to justify lying and cheating in secrecy to be healthier for people…. “It’s going to happen” “It is what it is” “Leave it to Allah” No- the devil was right but wrong for “his pride “ on speaking truthfully about how fire can completely weaken flesh… which is a simple FACT. If you really read the Quran - where does it say “men and women were thrown out of heaven AS ENEMIES OF EACH OTHER”. When cheating has increased- and rebelling is seen as a good thing We get labeled as weak or “too agreeable “ Like how is that an issue? Oh right- we’re also taking advice from Jordan Peterson who was an alcoholic who turned into some pseudo Christian Guru that is being threatened by people who gave him his psychology license and are trying to strip it away from him for going “against the grain”… when the entire groups of scientists are also saying it’s ok to humiliate your self to compensate for a lack of physical and emotional reassurance between men and women. When they’re as corrupt as the cultures of people are and how much they urge towards instability as women. We have bigger problems that are connected to how women are men’s weakness

@Israel-IS-Socialism I advise you to learn more about capital, namely from Karl Marx ie: Das Kapital. Zionism in the modern day nation of Israel would be a type of religious National Socialism, similar to what the Nazis had, and it is incorrect to call it Socialism. Also, becareful how we speak of that word, Israel, and look into Islamic Socialism, lest you think an economic system is something it may not be.

Like for example when he talks about Taghout,Allah "forgives"shirk to Banu Israel WITHOUT them asking for forgiveness,on Day of Judgement Prophet Muhammed saws will take anyone out of the Jahanam who pronounce Shada even if they are forced to say it without believe in it and so other Kufr "Tafsir and believe"

What debate? this is not a debated issue. The Hadith is very clear and the Hadith is sahih or some regard it as Hasan of a famous sahabi explaining a verse of the Quran. Now If you say you are not a scholar of Hadith and then say the Hadith has a drunkard which means the Hadith is weak and thus must not be used as evidence then this is really a cheap shot for no reason.

I would like an expansion on the hadith of the duff beaters. Because it is not seeming logical to allow duff but not other tools that can make beats. For example, you mentioned there are some beats that can lead ppl to increase in lust, but what if one person makes a beat like this on the duff? Also, to have duff players, they undergo musical training, so then will you sponsor musical schools to teach duff? Also, if music from the duff is permitted, what makes it different from music from other instruments. Isn’t the indication the prophet saws allowed this kind of music at the celebratory event revealing that there is permissibility for some kind of tune, as many scholars have noted about this Hadith on Tarb?

Enjoyable, it would have been nice to have a video that shows the other opinion that it’s halal and how you see the haram evidence as stronger and the problems with the halal evidence, and vice versa, like a very balanced approach that lets you hear both arguments. Maybe even bringing an acceptable scholar that has the other opinion.

Jazakallah Khair for the video. I was just debating this topic last night, it isn't great to see that the Ummah is trying to justify music, something that obviously distracts us from the remembrance of Allah. Music (even if it doesn't contain any bad words or any words at all) is an immersive experience that you indulge in so much that you lose sight of your Deen (Listening to music, not hearing it)

will not justify music, but the sahabah's interpretation of Quran 31:6 is clearly written in arabic as ghinaa. and ghinaa is singing, not music. Ghinaa is singing voice without instruments and music is singing with instruments. Why don't the scholars prohibit singing entirely when the sahabah clearly said it is lahw al hadees. So don't say the sahabah said Quran 31:6 is music, it is singing. Also, music (word) is there in the tafsir of some ayah, not the words of those sahabah you mentioned.

The Hadith says that wearing Silk is Haram, yet women are allowed to wear silk. So does that mean women can play musical instruments? It's a totally flawed hadith. Something must be 100% clear to be Haram. Idle Talk is not music. Poetry is halal yet is more idle talk than Music.

*Ouds, flutes & drums from Hadeeth & Tafseer!* Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), in a long hadeeth (read Bukhari 5189 and Muslim 2448a) narrates in one part her friend saying her husband played the Mizhar. An-Nawawi and the Jumhoor said the Mizhar is the Oud (a type of stringed instrument). In the same hadeeth, Aisha mentions the Prophet ﷺ made a comment on one part of the hadeeth; we don't know if she narrated the hadeeth entirely to him ﷺ or just that part, but it's very possible, but in any case it is for sure this occurred during the time of the Prophet ﷺ. In the final verse of Surat Al Jumuah, Allah says "and when they see Tijarah (trade) and Lahu (in this context: amusement and entertainment) they disperse towards it leaving you standing [on the pulpit]. Say "what is with Allah is better than Lahu and Tijarah". And Allah is the best of providers". - Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said "when the girls would marry they would pass by with the Kabar (drum) and Mazameer (flutes)". - Imam At-Tabari, the author of the great Tafseer book, accepted this narration as a tafseer of the Lahu in this verse. - Note the usage of Lahu here which is more appropriate to refer to musical instruments, whereas Lahwul-Hadeeth in Surat Luqman refers to the speech and not the musical instruments, hence why Ibn Abbas said Ghinā (singing). [good observation by the original commenter) - Ibn Tahir Al Maqdasi mentions the fact that trade is halal and that if two things are mentioned like that as "trade and lahu" were mentioned here, then they take the same ruling on their permissibility. He also said "...it is not possible that the Prophet forbade it then people passed by the mosque on Jumuah, then Allah reproaches those who left the Prophet ﷺ standing to go and listen to it, and that nothing of a verse was revealed on its prohibition, not even after a year had passed? From this we know that the state of matter was kept as is (i.e. permissibility)".

@AlexOjideagu2 Idle talk would be pointless words, falsehoods with no purpose, speech totally lacking righteousness and utility. Clear as day, most lyrics used musically, or with the primary intention of being musical, would fit into this category. Poetry alone, whether written or recited, can be created with the primary intention of serving a righteous purpose, or purposes, such as Worship of Allah, Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, without the influence of shaytan from musical intentions.

I like the Sheikh and applaud his Adab. I also agree that the reasoning used by the brother whom he countered was weak. Much of the music out there is bad and mixed with bad. Furthermore, like video games and the internet, music can distract you from your obligations. However, I have not been convinced by his arguments for _the complete prohibition of _*_all music._* Firstly, the Hadith attributed to Ibn Masud (r) may mention, that in Surah 31:6, 'Lahwa al hadithi' is a reference to music. The problem is that the verse clearly adds 'Li yudilla 'an Sabilillah,' i.e. 'to lead people away from the path of Allah (SWT).' As Ibn Hazm stated, anything that might have been used to distract people from listening to the Prophet (pbuh) would have been Haram. We cannot derive general prohibitions from such incidences. He even compares it to the prohibition of alcohol, but that prohibition is *direct and explicit.* Secondly, he mentioned the Hadith from the Sahih of Bukhari, and mentioned "silk for men," but that is NOT what it says. On the contrary, it simply says "silk." So, as Javed Ghamidi pointed out, why are we interpreting one of the listed things (i.e. music) as _completely prohibited,_ and the other (i.e. silk) we add conditions? Thirdly, if musical instruments are from Satan because Abu Bakr (r) said so, why would it be allowed at all? Eid or not Eid, if something is "satanic" it should be shunned like alcohol is shunned. The fact that the Prophet (pbuh) allowed it during Eid suggests that music is a passtime that we should not lose too much time with, but on special occasions, there is no harm in it. Fourthly, saying that "only the duff was played therefore all other instruments are prohibited," is like saying "since they only travelled by foot or camels and horseback, commuting by any other means is prohibited." However, modern transport was not around at the time, and neither was the piano or the guitar, but that's not a valid justification for their prohibition. Can you imagine them pushing a piano through the desert? No, their common instrument just happened to be the duff.

I appreciate this video a lot. The brother sheikh is referring to is someone who’s knowledgeable as well. With respect to this video, I will not mention his name but his thoughts on music weren’t very convincing and hence many people I know always use that to defend their love of music. There are some people who use prophet David’s example of his love of music and his ability to sing to defend themselves on the topic. Some people say , if music was haram, why would Allah use surrr on the day of judgement? Sheikh, can you please explain why prophet David’s love of music was okay and praised while even clean music for us is abandoned. ? This video explains a lot and it’s very important we learn and share. Jazakallah, Allah bless you.

There are differences of opinion from amog scholars, that is a fact. Here is what I found on scholars who authored works on the permissibility of music: (1) The proof of Islam, al-Ghazali [may Allah grant him mercy] said: “Entertainment is a help to relieve the stress. Only the Prophets, peace be upon them, can endure absolute seriousness and hardships. Entertainment is the medicine of heat against the disease of weariness and restlessness; so it should be permissible. But there should be no excess, just as there should be no overdose in medicine. Thus, whenever entertainment is for this purpose, it becomes an act of piety bringing one close to Allah. This is so even in the case of one in whose heart musc and singing do not rouse a praiseworthy quality-the arousal of which should be sought-but who only seeks to obtain pleasure and rest from it. So it is fitting that it be obtained in the manner we have outlined. There is no doubt that this indicates a falling short from the peak of perfection, for the perfect man is he whose soul does not need to be rested by anything other than Allah. But “the good deeds of the pious are the evil deeds of those closest to Allah”, and he who has mastered the science of dealing with hearts, and the different ways of leading them gently to the truth, knows well that resting them with such entertainment is indispensable.” [Revival of Religious Sciences by al-Imam al-Ghazali 92/2260].

Tambourine is halal for special occasion. Human voice is halal, this covers poetry and song. Still, anything excessive that takes you away from remembering Allah should be avoided. Music covers more than human voice and duff and ijma' ulama says haram. Research more bro. Wallahu a'lam.

@@slowliving2041 This is where the question arises - for a special occasion - then who is going to decide about the special occasion! Maybe the day, event, or occasion which is not for you special is special for others. Anything that makes you forgetful of duties as a Muslim is Haram. Following that, if someone sleeps and never prays, then sleeping is HARAM. No way. We need to understand the value behind our Prophet PBUH saying something, doing, or asking. May Allah guide us. Ameen. Our Prophet PBUH let the girls sing on EID, whence arrived at Madina, and Asked Aisha to send for a poetess/singer to the wedding of Ansar. This is way confusing for those who are learning about Islam. Thank you for reading.

Anything Speech, Conversation, Music, and whatever you may think of, that includes the use of profane language is prohibited. But there is nothing wrong with a music that does not cross the boundary of morality. Music is used as medicine for thousands of years. Scholars of Islam today are interjecting their own way thinking, and that does not necessarily mean the right way.

When it comes to music and musical instruments, there is no clear-cut evidence in the Qur’an or Hadith that explicitly states they are haram. This lack of explicit prohibition is why we see differing opinions among scholars. The problem arises when we dig deeper into the language used in the Hadiths and how these terms are interpreted. Let’s talk about the specific words used to refer to music in hadithes, such as *ghina*, *shir*, *ma'azif*, *mizmar*,mizhar and whatnot. The issue is that these words have been used in Hadiths both positively and negatively. What often happens is that some scholars focus only on the Hadiths where these terms are used negatively and then conclude that all musical instruments are haram. For example, take the word ghina*. In some Hadiths, *ghina might be used in a negative context, and those who oppose music might translate it into English as “musical instruments” to support their view. But ‘ghinacan also mean singing or a type of vocal music, which can be used positively in other Hadiths. Similarly, the word shir usually means poetry. There are Hadiths where shir is criticized severely, and by that logic, one could argue that poetry is haram. But we also have Hadiths where poetry is praised, showing that it’s not inherently haram. The same applies to the word ma'azif*. This term has also been used positively in some contexts. And you mentioned *daf as the only permissible instrument, but we also see mizhar and mizmar in the Hadiths. These terms refer to musical instruments like tambourines and flutes, and there are Hadiths where they are used in contexts, such as when guests come to a Sahaba’s house, not only during Eid or wedding ceremony as you claimed before. Furthermore, I brought up the example of Abu Musa, a Sahabi, who was reciting the Qur’an beautifully. The Prophet (peace be upon him) praised his voice, comparing it to a *mizmar*, which means flute. If the flute were haram, why would the Prophet compare something as noble as Qur’anic recitation to it? It’s like saying the Prophet would compare a pleasant drink to wine, which is clearly haram. He wouldn’t do that because he wouldn’t compare something good to something that is haram. So, when the Prophet compared Abu Musa’s voice to a flute, it indicates that the flute was not considered haram. This example shows that the blanket prohibition of musical instruments is not as clear as some might suggest. The arguments against music and musical instruments often rely on selective interpretations of the Hadiths. When we look at the broader context and the varied use of these terms, we see that the issue is not as black and white as it’s often portrayed. That’s why I believe that music and musical instruments are permissible, and why I feel it’s important to approach this topic with a nuanced understanding.

How can singing be 'idle talking' if wives will sing to their husbands in Jannah according to the hadiths while the Quran says there won't be idle talk in Jannah? "There they will never hear any idle or sinful talk, only good and virtuous speech" - Quran (56:25-26) Ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam (may Allaah exalt his mention) said: “The wives of the people of Paradise will sing for their husbands in the sweetest voices that anyone has ever heard; among the things that they will sing is: We are the good and beautiful wives of noble people; we look at them (husbands) with delight in our eyes (i.e., with satisfaction).’ Another song will be, ‘We are eternal women who will never die; we are safe and will never feel fear; we are settled and will never leave (our husbands).” [At-Tabaraani, and Al-Albaani classified it as authentic]
