The shaykh isnt saying go out and free mix. The default is DLNT freemix intentionally. However if u are in the situation were the culture is open, dont be too awkward It's a matter of balance. Stay away from the opposite gender...but when in circumstances or situations everyone is talking, dont be the awkward one... reply when spoken to, and it is courtesy.
