A Devout Client of Mary Shall Never Suffer the Loss of His Soul There was a certain man who was religious in name only, but, wherever true religion was concerned, hard-hearted and careless. Receive therefore thy request.” Receiving it, She placed it in the scales, and all those sins of the religious weighed against it as light as ashes.‘Then the devils departed in confusion, crying out and saying: “The Lady is too merciful to Christians; we fail as often as She comes to contend with us.” And so the man’s spirit returned to his body, and on recovery he related the whole tale and became a true monk. Taken From The Glories of Mary By Saint Alphonsus Liguori ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Lady explains the Hail Mary to Saint Mechtilde of Helfta (1241-1298): “My daughter, I want you to know that no one can please me more than by saying Rosary. The salutation which the Most Adorable Trinity sent to me, and by which He raised me to the dignity of Mother of God. By the word 'Ave' (which is the name Eve, Eva), I learned that in His infinite power God had preserved me from all sin and its misery, which the first woman had brought upon herself. The name ‘Mary’ which means ‘Lady of Light’ shows that God has filled me with wisdom and light, like a shining star, to light up Heaven and Earth. The words ‘full of grace’ remind me that the Holy Spirit has showered so many graces upon me that I am able to give these graces in abundance to those who ask for them through me as Mediatrix. When people say the ‘Lord is with thee,’ they give to me again the indescribable joy that I received when the Eternal Word became incarnate in my womb. When you say to me ‘blessed art thou among women,’ I praise Almighty God’s Divine mercy which raised me to this exalted level of happiness. And at the words, ‘blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus,’ the whole of Heaven rejoices with me to see my Son Jesus Christ adored and glorified for having saved mankind.”

"No one has ever shown they love God more in a more radical and authentic way than me." ~ Every American Christian under 25 showing their first tattoo off to every breathing thing 😂😂😂 , which becomes a sleeve in 4 years. I don't care about the tatoos either way. I care about how young Christians today call everyone else narcisists while they are blind to their shallow goals and motivation. And, I think Christian kids don't realize the people they want to look like sometimes spend 10k to $20,000 on their art, and they don't think of how important it is to be wise with money when you are young.

No, none of the old laws were for us Gentiles. You can follow them if you want of course, but Jesus’s main commandments was to love thy neighbor and believe in him and accept his free grace. If you want a lather in-depth teaching on it check out Mike Wringer.

Bro what? I understand that Christian converts have tattoos representing there past life’s and that stuff but like talking about tattoo your body because it looks awesome on you, I don’t know man😅, I’m not saying is a sin or something like that, but is a flesh thing. We have to see things in a different perspective as Christian’s is not what satisfies our flesh no more is what satisfies God. I think I don’t know what I am talking about, please someone help me with this.

Always refer to the Bible. Leviticus 19:28 New King James Version (NKJV) You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the LORD. Pretty obvious our Lord does not want us to mark our flesh and we should repent if we have done so.

@@quesostuff1009 No we are not. Is the whole old Testament simply null and void or is there things that are profitable for corrections and direction to this day? I believe tattoos are pagan and God does not want us to self harm or mark our flesh in anyway. I don't believe it brings glory to God or his creation. That's my belief and what God has shown me. You can make up your own mind and seek council with God on the matter. God bless.

It took me some time to get used too seeing young trendy people covered in tattoos . I was born in the early seventies and the people I knew growing who had them . Had been in prison or the military. I don't think I will live long enough to see them when they get to the age where they will look like they are made out of stilton

This is an open shut case when referring to the word of God. Leviticus 19:28 You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the LORD. It's that simple. It's a sin, and our Lord does not want us to mark the flesh he gave us. I have 2 small tattoos, and I have repented for doing them.

Does it say don’t do tattoos ? Or don’t do tattoos for the dead ? Secondly hasn’t the mosaic covenant been done away with with Christ’s resurrection? Im not advocating getting tattoos , but is it still considered a sin by our current covenant ?

Actually, this referred to the pagan ritual of cutting oneself for their pagan gods. If you recall Elijah and the Baal prophets, they were cutting themselves to rouse their gods. Plus, this rule applied to Israel. I’m not a tattoo person but i believe motives matter and what you get matters. But i don’t think tattoos are sinful under the New Covenant. Plus, we need to remember that not all the laws that applied to Israel apply to us under the New Covenant. The 600 or so laws apply to Jews. The 10 commandments apply today although we are not saved by obeying the law
