Shay, This morning I woke up in the worst mood. It was cold and rainy, the house was a mess because I was so tired last night I went to bed instead of facing it, the baby was crying and pulling my leg as I scrambled to clear the mess and make some blueberry pancakes. My husband then tells me my final pay check hadn't been processed yet, and it would be weeks until I got a check from my new job. We have to deplete our emergency fund to pay the mortgage and bills in the interim. Then, I turned on your video at breakfast and saw the boy with the chocolate bar book and realized two things: 1- it could be a lot worse. We own this messy house, we are healthy and we actually HAVE an emergency fund to deplete. 2- this boy's happiness and humanity is changing lives.
