My daughter hair was the same length as her hair and took forever to grow. Since she started using Jamaican black castor oil and tea tree on her hair it has been growing faster. My daughter keeps the oils in a stray bottle mixed with water too, which loses up the oils. She apples the oils in her hair while her natural hair is showing and while it’s done. I also get weave but in her hair every month which allows her hair to stay done and in my opinion helps her hair grow.

the best stuff i use to make my hair lay down is style factor gel and I have 4a/4b but my hair is thick so if I put any type of gel it would curl up but I have been using style factor for a while and I like it :) Edit - I don't heat my hair just slap the gel on with water
