I'm on the fence with this. Why even give her your attention? I just waited 5 days to text her I didn't think it was a problem as I think I told her it would be a few days. She works in the gym, she was quiet and looked depressed for a bit. and not friendly at me I tried to fix it and say that I hadn't rejected her. She said she wanted to be alone so I said sure. You know the sad part about all of this advice? It still applies to women who are older. One would think that by your 40s/50s that women would dispense with the bullshit and just be normal, but sadly, this isn't the case. In fact, they get MORE fucked up as they age. If a person hasn't resolved their emotional and psychological issues by a certain age, they will always be a hot mess. The good thing is that the older I get, the less I really need to be in a relationship. I'm fresh out of fucks to give. I love my me-time and I have rich, valuable, fulfilling friendships that mean a lot to me. I'm an accomplished artist, instrument-rated pilot and I have a nice settlement after serving in NYC during 9/11 as a member of the New York State Police. I no longer feel the need to prove myself to some woman and since I'm already a first-ballot inductee into the Playa's Hall of Fame, I feel no need to take the field once more. I have neither the time or patience for this nonsense.

I know it's been a while since you asked, but who knows who might come across this thread and find it useful: as far as I understand, in that scenario you should just say hi as you're passing by, but don't go out of your way to talk to her. be nice, but if she wants to speak to you for a "quick chat", tell her you haven't got time (gotta go to class or whatever). kinda one of the fundamentals of corey's teaching, be indifferent and don't give her attention she doesn't deserve. We had an amazing few weeks, but I realized I just love my ex and I needed her back. It wasn’t because the new girl didn’t pan out, it was genuinely coming to the realization that I loved my ex more than anything. We got back together but she could never truly forgive me so the relationship went toxic. This was almost 10 years ago and I would still say I’ve never loved someone more than the girl I dumped.
