Lets ride to the villages of Bangladesh and soon I found a tea stall with most spectacular tea house in Bangladesh where a local lady tried to convince me to eat this local food.

wtf bro, that's not what you call fluent. that is better be called 'okey english' or communicable english idk. I think they should be appreciated for their sincerity to understand a foreigner even though they cannot understand his language at all and not ignoring him for that. Their hospitality skill is better than their english skill.

@ 12:35 before 1970 Jute used to be known as Golden Fiber. And it was the biggest export of united Pakistan . When there was no plastic in the world, Pakistan used to earn billions of rupees ( when $1 = Rupee 3) foreign exchange only from this Jute industry. It was the biggest income source that united Pakistan had. Once Pakistan total survival was based on Jute mills and cotton mills and both industries were based in East Pakistan. Back in days Adamjee Jute mills and Adamjee cotton mills were the world lagest in East Pakistan now Bangladesh.

Whole Islamabad town was build on Bangali jutes export money.Jute was the number 1 remittance sources for Pakistan before 1971.They transferred all the money to west Pakistan and East was deprived from its portion which brings Pakistans foreign currencies.Discriminations in all sectors was one the reasons of Independence movement in Bangladesh then.Jute was used in preserving ammunitions before in Army.And also used for clothing.But after innovation of synthetic yarn and other method of arms preservation Jute had lost its values in international market.

Just a propaganda. They used to say that was due to Rice and now you changed it to Jute. 😆 Actual Islamabad in 60s was a small government colony and most of the projects were by the borrowed money.
@everythingerina9379
@everythingerina9379 10 ай бұрын
@@tmk5 This is absolutely not propaganda. It is widely known how unfairly Pakistan treated the eastern wing depriving it of its economic share even though the majority of Pakistan's exports and revenue were from the east the tax money was largely given to develop the west even though the majority of Pakistan's population lived in the east. I have only ever seen Pakistanis deny this because of their arrogance and pride. Even today there are still Pakistanis who look down on Bangladeshis, even not considering them to be human. And I have always heard Pakistanis to be very devout Muslims and yet I always see a racist arrogance with Pakistanis.

The small bamboo like sticks you saw are sticks grown to be decomposed only than it leave the fiber called jute. Bangladesh's jute fiber is world famous golden fiber, Bengal Presidency was the worlds leading jute producer before the British rule, during their rule, even during Pakistan time. The money which build the factories, buildings & road during united Pakistan time were paid by the money made mostly from sale of jute (the golden fiber) around the globe.

Perhaps you are not aware of jute plant . This plant requires a lot of water, even more than rice. Once mature, it is cut and submeeged in water for few days, so that fibers come out of jute trunk. Then that fibers are dried for processing. That man told jute is used for dress, but jute is not used for dress materials. It is used for packaging material, land filling and bio degradable. Mostly cultivated in Bangladesh and india Perhaps. Islamabad and karachi was built on jute exports.
