Not good opening up or taking truck out of the bubble while it’s raining sir. The moisture is going to rust out that beautiful truck. Common sense sir.

I have an old 1970 ford f100 that my dad bought new and he gave me at 16 yrs old. My adult daughter has laid claim to it and wants it for her own when I’m gone from this planet. I took her out to learn to drive it two summers ago and she did very very good driving it , it’s also a three on the tree no power steering no power brakes. I love seeing the kids take interest in ole dad’s things. Great job making these memories and the legend lives on.

What a cool thing to do for your wife and her family I'm sure her mom is extremely happy that it's in the right place now and honoring the love and dedication that he put in to maintain his truck. I hope she gets many years of enjoyment out of it knowing that her dad is proud that she's taking care of it and enjoying something that he was proud of. Great video you have a family of car guys that are happy to see his grandkids getting to enjoy it too. When we get to fire up a car that was enjoyed by our loved ones that are not with us anymore I have always felt there presence and spirit on those drives. It's as if for a short while part of them gets to enjoy their wing's and spend time together with the ones they left behind. It's a happy time for a car enthusiast and a breef step from reality for the loved one! May she always bring a little peace of the good times to the for front of your mind. Enjoy your special time with this beautiful family heirloom!

That's a real nice truck! I've been a Ford guy all my life. My first car was a 1950 two door, business coop, V8, flathead. I bought it from my uncle for $35.00 in 1960. I wish I still had it!!! I presently own a F-150 I bought brand new in 1989. It has116 thousand original miles on it. It looks real nice and runs great. One thing I would change about it is the white interior upholstery. Brown, tucked and pleated leather would look great in that truck. Take care of it and keep it in the family.

Cool old trucks. 8 volts to the starter (6 volt system) no alternator uses dc generator . Starter not by relay but pushed a button below the gas pedal by the bell housing to start the motor. Kind of a problem b/c on occasion the driver would hit the starter by accident. Manual steering. Thank god they don’t make them like they used to. But what fun nostalgia. I had a 55 4400. That would be a one ton flat bead dual rear wheel. I recall, used a magneto for the ignition system. Scary if you got a flat on any kind of slope, the thing would roll when you changed a tire because the parking brake was a friction ring the drive line instead of the individual rear wheels. Sometimes a new driver would forget to release the parking brake and smoke from the asbestos ring would come up through the floor into the cab. You would carry extra water for the radiator because they didn’t ave a side surge tank for expansion and redraw back to the radiator. Bringing back lots of memories, about the people of the time too. Thanks for the video.

😊 nice looking truck I have the same truck black lowered I bought mine at 13 years old in 83 me and my father restored it I drove at the high school at 16 years old and still own it today rebuilt it again In 96 put international scout 4x4 running gear in it motor trans t case an axels 33 12.50 15 on 10in aluminium wheels all under fenders my running boards are 25in of the ground looks great i got tired dragging the ground every were the running boards were 4 in off the ground looked cool .still black today drives like a scout but strait needs re sprayed i drive her about 4 times a year love it . The black knob under the dash in the center is Push It Forward that's the vent in the front of the cab in front of the windshield that was the AC . Here's a tip the wandering and the steering let a little air out of the passenger front tire to it pulls to the right a little bit then you hold the wheel to the left and it balances that wander out you got to adjust the pressure and you'll get the right curve those flat profile tires on a solid front axle follow the grooves in the road I think I ran 32 in the driver side front and somewers around 25 in the passenger side that way your steering wheel wasn't going left and right and left and right to keep it going straight you always knew it was going to the right a little bit so you just kept it a little bit left just made a little more predictable now that mine is four-wheel drive it's got the solid front axle in it I put twin steering socks on it and it solves all that wandering.
@yeahbuddygarage Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip! I'll give that shot since this one does pull to the right. Also I love that you've had the same truck since '83!
