Yup.... and the people there that are on section 8 are being forced out because the owner has the right to no longer accept section 8. They sell the property to a “new” owner and the new owner closes out the subsidized income people so he can raise the rent to ridiculous high rent. Why does anything cost as much as it does? Because people keep paying it. If people stoped buying cars at the high prices the car companies would either go out of buisness or have to slash their prices. Same as why are there clothes on the clearance racks because no one bought them at regular prices so the stores slash and slash prices to try to get some money back.

Stick a stainless steel pipe screen up inside the pipe on a slight Angel this should help you controll the flow.
@finscreenname5 жыл бұрын
The end of the faucet pipe is actually wider then the pipe its self. It should be reversed. It needs to narrow at the end to build up pressure and make a steam. A SS screen will aerate the water making less seem like more. An easy fix. Just get a sink faucet from Depot and just use the spout.

I thank God my grandparents bought all of our beautiful land here in West Virginia 60 plus years ago !! We have over 20 acres right here in the beautiful Shenandoah river and blue ridge mountains. We have a beautiful place here and we live a great life here. I am sitting right here looking at the mountains and this old river thinking about how blessed we are to own this . Last year I had a couple here that stayed for a week , Ron and stacey, very nice young couple who live in a small R.V. they might come back this year to visit. I have had so many ppl ask me about renting a spot , nah they can stay a week here free . Just keep it clean and make sure to keep the fire pits clean and we have a cistern for fresh water, porta potty that we use instead of messing with tanks all the time. God bless , oh we are 5 miles from harpers ferry national park, 35 miles from Gettysburg, 50 miles from Washington D.C. The weekends are a blast the rest of the week is very, very relaxed. My brother also has a boat and big dock here for fishing, kayaking, swimming, tubing. Life is good.

Awseome build! I especially like the colorized woodwork. It's a great break the from natural/white look most everyone is going with. Just a head's up, but the issue with water splashing out of the sink might be a result of not having an aerated faucet as opposed to an issue with the foot pump. I have the same foot pump (Whale Gusher) and a faucet of about the same height. Add an adjustable/low flow aerated fitting and you'll use less water and have far less splashing.

Having an RV this big, and still wishing I had more storage, (LOL!) I get to learn some great new creative ways to handle my space by watching someone with a tiny space. For example her kitchen so so genius, from using a simple produce hammock, to maximizing the backsplash with the added knives & spice rack. The repurposed wood is used so beautifully. I really like the faucet too. Very rustic and old school. The layout and use of space is so functional and livable. Especially the closet in the back behind the bed. WOW! So much room! Guys I've been trying to figure out the math. Cause I want to do this as well. I personally prefer the Sprinter van or a high roof van period. But I'm not sure. From my research these type of Vans cost about $15-25k (USED)... not including you building it. Which can be thousands more, if you don't know how to do it (Like me). Currently I live in Florida, and I've been in my small Dodge Neon sedan for about 2yrs. Why? Cause I wanted to get out of debt and life circumstances. Now that's accomplished, I'm ready to improve and upgrade my living. But I want to keep the flexibility of being able to save, and etc. Renting a room in Florida is about $650-800 (including utilities, but some people say no kitchen access). A 1 bedroom runs for about $800-1,100mnth (Not including all utilities). So I'm not sure I want to go that route (feel like I'm just throwing $ out window). Im curious why do people Buy and build a custom Van.. versus just buying a Class A/B/C Van that's already built?. They seem to be about the same price overall, unless you brought a small cargo van and built that out. But seem most people are getting the high roof Vans. Hopefully someone can help explain the financial aspects to me. Cause I don't want to put myself in a financial bind, takes forever to get out of it. Im 27, no kids and 100% debt free, and work full time. I don't want the Van to travel the world, I need it just for comfortability and being able to save.
@nakiatexas105 жыл бұрын
Tommy Rose you ask great questions. I’m just learning about van life and I want to know where they park to sleep at night. A friend has an RV and he pays $500 month for the park and more money for propane and water. Well that’s almost the cost of renting a small apartment. If you’re traveling around are there places to pull over for a few days for free?
@Tommy-hy1ob5 жыл бұрын
Nia just seeing this. Well me personally I live in city. So I don't have to travel from place to place. But I personally sleep in Walmart parking lot and a parking lot that has a 24hr laundromat. I know how to survive lol. I wash up at a 24hr gym and etc. im just trying to see how it make financial sense, before I upgrade. As I stated before, I'm currently in a small car. Maybe I should do a KZbin channel? Lol

Live in your car. Shove a thousand dollars a month in your pocket. Stop spending your money. Live extremely frugally. You don’t need a Mercedes. Just get an affordable mini van. You don’t need a fancy “build”. Keep stepping up if you feel like you do. But the key is to completely stop spending your money and start saving. Doing this I was able to save $6000 in 2-3 mos for my suv of which I paid cash. I hv extremely low overhead as I got one of the most reliable brands around. I don’t believe in getting these large vans. They’re a target for theft and you can’t park anywhere you want. Plus it’s expensive for gas. I get 25 mpg. Car dweller for 3 years now. My next saving for will be land. Just get a tiny storage space for your stuff. Be extreme with your frugality and you can get what I want ASAP.

Faucet issue, might try putting some metal screen material in the faucet opening. Sort of a dome shaped, like shove your finger tip into the screen then put the screen into the faucet with the dome facing down.
