Fear..... Many people believe that trimming/cutting hair will stop hair growth. For example, a lot of people won't cut their infant son's hair. They feel that their sons hair won't grow if it is cut.🤔

I stopped getting trims when I went natural(not my choice I went natural at 11, I'm 16 now so ofc I didn't know about hair enough to now I need trims, it's kind of ironic tho cause my mom used to be a hair dresser and used to do my trims lol) anyway I literally just realized a few days ago I should be getting them, I'm scared to see how much I need to get trimmed off😣😭

I’m glad that you’re willing to get the trim😊❤️. If you’re nervous about how much, or if you’re not ready to cut the full amount needed; you can let the hairstylist know how much you want off and that you would be open to doing a trim regimen to get it off within the regimen time period.

Lol no it doesn’t make sense. It’s like looking at a water fall for example, if you have water coming from the top,all of it will rest/fall to the bottom. Have you ever saw through the bottom of a water fall? The majority of the weight of the hair should be at the bottom unless you have an under cut or some type of special style cut.

At the Least every 3 months and at most 4 to 8 weeks. If you wear your hair natural mostly; I recommend every 3 months

Trim when necessary by observing your ends if you don't manipulate your hair alot and you make your styles last 2 weeks to a month and handling your hair gently when detangling you won't cause breakage or split ends which means you won't need a trim to often which retains alot more length low manipulation is key along with gentleness!

I get my hair trimmed every three months and my hair is flourishing. I lose 1/8th to 1/4 inch, basically removing ends that are just starting to show wear, knots, etc.
