They can be quite an adventure if they aren't fully put together like your Baja Bug (a little rough around the edges). That little bug project is coming along nicely. Everybody will like it more once you re-do the back seats and that will cut down the noise on the inside, making it more comfortable. I put an extra layer of foam on the backsides of my carpets and upholstery to mute the sounds a bit as well. You can even put sound deadeners around the engine itself. That really helps, as long as it is well mounted and does not come off and get sucked into the engine. (Oh yes, that happens...)

I just thought - does the Bug have a different voltage maybe? I can't remember anymore - but the light bars are all low voltage LED's so they might not create a problem with the stock electrical system when you're out there driving around. 👌 You really know what you're doing with those drones - I'm clueless. Nothing beats the smell of the inside of a Bug. I took my Jetta in to the dealer to be worked on recently, and there was a sweet looking brand new Bug in the showroom, and an amazingly killer looking old Bug as well. Salesman saw that I was looking at both, asked if I was looking for a new car, etc etc.. I said if you can make the new Bugs smell like the old ones, I am in. I have a double stack light bar on my truck and I love it. It's crazy bright. I have custom mounting brackets so it would fit on my roof so I didn't have the problem you did with the roof of your bug. My light bar is also curved

How could anyone not love a beetle, my first 2 cars were VW's (coincidence that is my initials as well). The first one was even converted to 12v so made life so much easier, it also had a full roof leather slide sunroof that made it almost a convertible.

Like your VW beetle.Do you know you can easy upgrade them with a old aircooled porsche boxer motor? 10:50 Why don't you extend the mounting brackets or replace them with longer ones? bend a piece of 1"x1/8"flat bar,that should do the trick.I think the big led bar will give way more light if you mount it on the roof,very useful for offroading.

Buy a roof rack for the bug and then mount the bar to it! The classic style ones just clamp onto the rain gutters. Plus it makes the bug more usable cause then you have extra storage.
