I love your show Kendra! I am 36 years old and at the age of 30 I underwent a transformation to unlock my better self. I started working out, eating better, and started to learn who I was and what I could bring to a partner. After a lot of research I found out that women and men have two different things that we value. The man that I encountered didnt care about my degree or my money. Lol I worked on my attitude, learned how to communicate effectively. I started to travel and just enjoying my life. I prayed and made a huge decision to move to Asia to teach and within one month of being there I met my husband. What were the odds of me meeting a black American man in Asia?! He properly courted me and within 6 months of dating he proposed to me in Bali! My husband is EVERYTHING! We are traveling teachers and are not rich but he is hardworking, a man of God, and such a loving man. We've been married two years now, living on an island abroad, and just had our first baby. Everything changed when I worked on myself first to prepare to be a partner to someone. All of the ladies mention money, height, but for me I wanted a man with integrity and character. I would like to say with love nothing comes perfect. You will have to work together to make your relationship work. Very true. My lady and I went through Hurricane Ian together. I and a neighbor tarped our own roof together after she called 3 roofers and all of them shafted us after agreeing to come. She didn’t know about the spare gas canisters or how to open and fill them up. When water damage showed up, I painted the killz anti mold paint to the ceiling. I checked the attic for wet insulation etc, preventing it. I also kept her calm because she cried 3-5 times a day every day for nearly 2 weeks until our power came on. And I’m pretty average at being handy. There are men that would’ve been 5x better than I am.
