Hi, I’m the girl from the video- I thought the permanent brown professional dye would be more difficult to remove than the semi permanent red so I did a low volume developer bleach on the brown then did a color remover on the red so I hope that clears up why my order was the way it was. Also, I didn’t just bleach the brown initially because I had leftover product- I added a low developer to bring the level down a bit because I realised to get brown permanent dye out I would have to bleach at least once. My hair was still super healthy after this video, and when it was healthy enough after some time and a lot of deep conditioning treatments I bleached my hair again with 20 volume then used semi permanent conditioning toners and I’m now a super healthy blonde- I invested in a lot of really good products and to be honest my hair has never been healthier 😊 Also: I just presumed the box dye had a high developer because most do, it was just a regular box dye. I’m glad you liked the result :-)

Hair Budda, I want to thank you for what you do here, on KZbin. Thanks to you I saved a fortune and learnt a lot. I can do my hair (at least colouring and bleaching ) without hesitation and stupid mistakes. I am in my 50's and don't have enough money to go to salon but with your help and advise I was able to go from dark brown to silver. It took me two months because I was careful and didn't want to ruin my hair so I did this in several steps but my goal is acheved. Sorry for my English. Greeting from Poland.

I was a bright redhead for 14 years. It took my wonderful colorist a year to return me to my natural blond color. Slowly and carefully she lifted and toned and I would return 2-3 months later to repeat. I had to live with some shades I wasn't crazy about along the way but I'm so grateful for a head of healthy hair.

I also believe you need to be patient to have healtht hair and not too shallow. I guess a lot of hairdresser would have done what yours did, but the client needs to be wise, not mind be lectured and be able to left the hair salon not happy. I don't think a lot of people can do that.

@hair Budda The second application she did was both colour remover and bleach. Look at the first bowl she mixed, it was white. She put that on her pink hair. But she continues to the back of her hair, there you can see that the mixture is blue.
@miaharrison Жыл бұрын
Thank you for explaining this- the color remover was for the semi permanent red and the low vol bleach was for the permanent brown professional colour 😊
@pumibel17202 жыл бұрын
I have watched so many of your videos that I was cringing with you as I watched her sloppy applications. She used 30 vol with the color remover on top of all the bleaching and high lift color. I don't understand why she still has hair. Funny story: a few months ago I highlighted my hair using a box kit (cringe) and the color result was great as I had saturated the strands very well. But after rinsing the bleach out, I kinda went crazy. I am not used to seeing light hair on my head, plus there was some damage, so it just didn't look normal to me. I thought I had fried my hair, so I tried cutting some of it with my mom's help. After toning and conditioning, I realized that my hair was ok, not nearly as damaged as I have seen on this channel. The cut was a disaster, but I have had it cut again by a pro since then. I have to laugh at myself now because I freaked out over some dry hair. It wasn't puffy or cottony at all.
@miaharrison Жыл бұрын
I didn’t use 30 volume- the 7 vol diluted it to a 15 vol. And I still have hair because I only used 20 vol or 10 vol throughout this video and my hair are routine is very intense so my hair is extremely healthy and able to take damage once in a while :-)

A few demi's and about 4 bleach baths in that time there is still some of that reddish from the violet that WILL NOT leave my hair. Pretty much just doing demi permanent until it grows out or some miracle happens.

I was simply shocked at how well it turned out. There's a part of me that didn't want it to and also it was quick bait because I didn't count five bleaching attempts. Anyway the reason I don't like to see them turn out is because I believe it encourages other people to follow in her footsteps. She got very lucky. Unbelievably lucky. The odds of anyone else doing what she did having their hair come out as pretty and shiny as hers was is very unlikely. Is there a video out there of someone that actually is following the hair Buddhas instructions. Please let me know I'd love to see it.

I went through one myself : for a super talented (and expensive) hair stylist it took many months to fix a terrible baleyage, years of box dies and henna (yes...) while preserving hair quality. I am super curious to know: what would be your advice to somebody who wants to go back to her/his natural color level (e.g. level 6-5), at home with EU market products, after a few years of box dying hair very dark brown or black?

Now I have colored hair (I think 1 level lighter as my natural hair. My hairdresser uses 12% developer. And my scalp is always burning like fire) and we stick to shoulder length as this is manageable. I had to cut a lot of after dyeing my hair nearly white by my own. I lived some years with this hair but hated to detangle as I need sometimes more then 30 minutes. I also had to ask sometimes my boyfriend, as I didn't managed to hold my arms up for so long. Now I need only 5 minutes, but after another 5 minutes it's tangled again 🤣 I use bond building treatments 1-2 times a week (I hope they do what they promised) and it's a little bit better. But I hate my hair. It's to short and to dry and to boring.
