Old South Dog Boxes
These guys build the best dog boxes I’ve seen!
I was looking around for a company that made dog boxes that would fit in my Side by Side and couldn’t find anything.
I got in touch with Old South Dog Boxes and they are able to make custom builds!
They are building me a dog box that will fit exactly what I need.
They make a diverse range of dog boxes, dog trailers, and bird rigs for bird hunters.
Check them out and let them know that Brett from Born 100 Years Too Late sent you!

Skito Saddle Pads
I was in the market for a new saddle pad after my old one wore out.
Agnes, my riding mule, has a bad back and it makes a big difference to have a good saddle pad.

Ellis Canvas Tents
I reached out to Ellis Canvas Tents because I was just not too happy with my sleep system. I had seen their products before and was really impressed with the "Cowboy Bedroll". They sent me one to try and can say that so far it is the best I have used for Cowboy Camping.
Soon I hope I can get one of their Canvas Tents

She does need to learn she is not a lap dog. Like she follows you around needing your attention. She is a pretty mule but she is not Agnes. Same way you can’t compare wives. Just my .02cents. Never owned a horse or mule. Only been married to one woman for 37yrs and still counting. Come to think of it , I don’t know what I’m talking about. 😁 God Bless

I can see where you been around the mule and just talking to the camera and how the mules reacting I sometimes wonder if the mule thinks you're talking to her and if so I think that helps a lot. I'm glad you're making this video. I don't know a damn thing about horses or mules but I know it don't hurt for me to learn how to train one because one day I may need to if we have to go back to riding mules and horses you're training me too LOL, yep you're training me too.

Bret, you are spot on. With a mule the first thing one has to develop is their trust of you. When I first acquired Sam and Sadie (Belgian draft mules), though fully broke and well trained, they were standoffish and stiff, so to speak. But when I finally earned their trust they became an amazing team that loved to work. I got into some real predicaments on the steep hillsides here in Missouri and they were rock solid safe, totally surefooted, and smart. It was a real pleasure working with them.

Bonnie is a beautiful & hopeful mule, good luck Brett.-Kid Yuma

I had a mule I broke that snorted, showed the whites of his eyes, kicked, bucked, ran away with me, you name it he tried it. Had friends bet me I couldn’t break him. I had him 7 years. After I got him broke you could shoot off him, haul anything on him, ride him anywhere, but I still just had a bronc that you could ride😂 The moral of my story is that you might as well spend all the time on a good one that’s been imprinted and likes to be with you. That mule was just hard to love. But I enjoyed the challenge. Even won a team roping on him once. Anyway I enjoy your videos 👍

Never had a mule but i had a horse almost as smart as a mule when i was a kid. When i got married the wife and i decided to make a garden. I hitched up the horse to the plow and decided to have the wife lead him as i followed with the plow. Now, id handled that horse since he was 3 days old and he liked people. He'd follow you anywhere but i was never able to make him walk to the side. Hed follow right on your heels. Well, the wife started leading with the horse following close and breathing on top of her head. The faster she walked the faster the horse walked. Soon the plow and i were following at a trot. We did a quick job of plowing but the rows werent that straight. Finally she took to her heels while still holding the reins, the horse following right along. Looking over her shoulder and fleeing for her life the wife tumbled right into the biggest blackberry patch in the field. I'll have to say, after we pulled her out, that the horse and i took the tirade in good order. But i could tell that old horse had his feelings hurt. He had his head drooped, his ears flopped, and i could swear he had tears in his eyes.

Good video, question; why keep the tail under the britches? I think that is what you referred to it as.

Hey Brett, I very much enjoyed your videos. Just a question I have, do you carry any kind of device? That would send for help if, Lord forbid, you do run into trouble.

I never was around horses much growing up. I married into a horse family. My father-in-law was a horse trainer. He taught me everything I know (which still isn't much). I've trained our 2 horses not broke them trained them. They are kid gentle. I understand what you are doing, coaxing them to do what you want in a stern but gentle way. If that makes sense. I've gotten off my wifes horse while riding in a group and when they started leaving she stayed with me. She would leave the herd to come to me when they were out in the pasture. Ground work is the key. She never was afraid of the blanket or saddle the first time so I thought I'd get on her. She just turned her head and sniffed my boots on each side. I gained her trust all because of the ground work and would do anything I would ask, when she figured out what I was asking. I enjoy watching you work with her, it brings back memories of my father-in-law. I'm also picking up tips even though my wife and I don't ride anymore for health reasons. I told my wife we should sell them because someone else can enjoy them. She put her foot down and said. "NO! MY HORSES WILL DIE IN MY PASTURE".

Sooo, it l👀ks like I m just going 2 have 2 depend on God 2 give me one. Hope it happens soon cuz time is running out. . . God Bless, prayers and thankyou 4 educating us on the in/outs of mule care. . .🤗❤️🙏

Brett, I think you have a winner there. I also think she's really taking a liking to you, I mean, the first two vids she wanted to move away from you, and now she wants to get in Your lap. Does she need to learn some respect, sure but who or what animal doesn't!! Your doing a great job, and cant wait to watch all the adventures you two are going to take us on.And oh yeah, she is one beautiful Mule. Keep up the great work and vids.

I enjoy it all! I had Mr. POHLSON for a principal or vice principal at APS while in school so your bus stop story was great! I know northern NM better so your southern trips are great. Any knowledge about Apache Kid Wilderness around San Mateo Peak? Thanks again y vaya con Dios amigo

@BrettVaughnB100 Mr Prayther sounds familiar but that's 50 + years ago. I graduated in 73. I trapped a 76# beaver in the Corales ditch when I was younger. I really like your stories.
