fun fact: people were saying she doesn't write her own songs (mind you, this was after fearless album and before Red album) , so what does she do? she writes an album all by herself with no co-writers. Speak now has so many good songs and fan favourites- enchanted, sparks fly, haunted, last kiss, dear john, back to December, story of us, mine, mean etc. :))

How can someone not love an album that has Haunted, Enchanted, Sparks Fly, Dear John, Last Kiss, Long live? A bunch of Taylor's best lyrics are in this album, i'm extra excited to listen to the songs from the Valt, i wonder what masterpieces didn't make the album, cause this era is magical.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Taylor has always been the creative mind behind all of her videos, her concerts, who she works with (her band, back up singers & some dancers have been with her for years), the costumes, & especially her interactions with her fans! A day before a country awards show after the Fearless tour, she did a 13 hour meet & greet! Now she's written a screenplay that Searchlight isgoing to make & Taylor is directing! As Ryan Redder of One Republic said, Taylor is basically a savant!

Thank you so much for taking our recommendations for this song! It's definitely in my top 5 of her entire discography. I wasn't a fan back in this era, and I have been blown away by what she was able to create at such a young age. I would suggest Dear John from this tour next; she looks like such a little girl performing it and yet she takes down a grown man in one fell swoop of lyrics, iconic. I would follow that up with "Would've, Could've, Should've" from Midnights because it represents her view of the same relationship 13 years later as a grown woman (the same age John was at the time of their relationship, in fact). If you're loving the rock vibe, I also strongly recommend her performance of WANEGBT from the 1989 tour (assuming you have heard the original studio/MV version first, in order to hear the remarkable difference).

Haunted is a fan favorite this one of the reasons we are all waiting for Speak Now (Taylor's Version). Btw there a great Version she did on a Thanksgiving special where she and her band sang it in the actual House where Pycho movie was made the only thing it is cut in the middle where she was talking about the production of it but still it on KZbin somewhere. You just got to check it out it's great it will put on that time of Speak Now I believe she did Longlive on a open top like bus or trailer on the street of LA.

This was one Speak Now songs that I loved the live version the most. Speak Now as an album, has in my opinion the best drumming out of all 10 Taylor albums, and the live version is even better. I know that you are going to love most of the songs on that album, can't wait for you to hear Dear John, Better Than Revenge and Enchanted. Before RED, a lot of us swifties though she was going to do a rock album. PS: Taylor was a theater kid and it shows.

Taylor has mentioned being a fan of Fall Out Boy and that edge has come out in some of her songs. I’m with many people in wishing she’d do a rock album. I think she has mentioned being a little scared to do so because of the hard failure of Garth Brook’s alter ego Chris Gains project. That said Reputation was a hard experiment as was folklore/evermore and that worked amazingly.

Everybody gets this backwards. Taylor didn't have a "country phase". Country had a Taylor phase. She's always been a bit different and eclectic. Incidentally, you might look up the punk rock band Prevail covering Blank Space -- there are several of her songs in the collection of albums called Punk Goes .... [ Pop, Acoustic, Crunk, Metal . . . ] Punk Goes Pop series ended up with several punk versions of her songs. (from the AOTY -- they didn't publish all of it, just the big radio hits.) I remember offhand a version of You Belong With Me, Love Story, and Blank Space; along with dozens other artists. A sort of fun revision of the mix and vocals, while keeping a lot of the songs the same. Look up the albums list/ track lists on Wikipedia, the label (don't remember which) put out a _lot_ of albums in these series. Helps if you like screaming, maybe.
