I read this scene in the manga series. While I have my doubts about the dragon keepers being 100% good the invaders leaders are ten times worse. They even see the foot soldiers are disposable pawns and nothing more. Those just proves how cruel they are, and they no concept of loyalty to anyone. Even to those who worship and try to help them. While the rangers are good cops gone bad the invaders are just pure evil.

The double irony of this, is that the mc, the henchman grunt, may still end up killing all the rangers. Including the yellow one. Just because you have a tragic backstory, doesn’t justify terrible crimes later on. Especially if you hide it behind a heroic mask. He could likely just kill all the rangers, the yellow one, and all other opposition. Becoming the real villian, and take over the world. From within. He could kill the President, take his place, and it’d be a whole Citizen Kane situation. Killing the Makima-type character and everyone else. What’s worse than a many with nothing left to lose? That’s been manipulated left and right?
