You need to go view other articles about this case. There is alot more to this case that has been left out. She is on camera buying cigarettes and riding around hanging out with Todd after the alleged rape. She even has her phone on her and never called police .. She called her mom to ask for money for her and Todd after he supposedly raped her, she tells her mom that Todd tried to kill her but insist that her mom not call the police and instead to just send them some money and a ride to go get cigs. Then after the murder they originally tell cops that the brother shot Todd and then later changes the story to she shot Todd. Something is way off about the motive for killing Todd.

Brittany Smith, an Alabama woman who killed a man accused of raping her, has pleaded guilty to murder. Brittany was sentenced to 20 years, court records show. But the sentence was split for her to serve 18 months in the Jackson County Jail and 18 months on house arrest, followed by probation. Because she will receive credit for the time she spent in jail awaiting trial, Brittany will be released to house arrest in about seven months, according to her attorney.

the law states if you leave the scene then come back and kills someone its murder period no matter that person did to you . she should of called the cops and she should have told her brother and she shouldn't have let him get his gun

Yeah, I was thinking she had coming to her what he did because no woman should be doing drugs alone with weird creepy guys. Women need to start taking responsibility for the situations they put themselves in.

The arson was probably a direct result of the unresolved trauma. This woman is gonna need help when she is released or she's gonna end up serving the full sentence. I hope she can get the help she deserves, because it's out there waiting for her!

No. The arson is a direct result of her being a petty criminal drug addict. Life’s never gonna get better for her because she won’t take responsibility of her life and make it better

She needs to sue everyone that mishandled her case! I personally know of a 30 year old so called female beating a 70 year old senior citizen and totally got away with it! She claimed she was standing her ground. Oh, please!!

Today they release criminals early and many times not even convicting them or even requiring bail. What a backward world we live in today, and it will just get worse. God Bless. and thank you Lamont.

he sounds like a real bum, there's something wrong with the system if she got 20 years, she better stay on the straight and narrow from now on after she gets out

Arrested 71 times! The hell? How was he not in prison?
@jackroman27612 ай бұрын
you cant be charge for a different crime and that cant be brought up like if i was arrested for dui and the 2 days later im again arrested but for robbery 1 case cant be first mentioned and /or that crime cant affect my new charge i can only be charged for the new crime but if i was arrested for dui and 2 day later charged again for the same charge the dui then it can be mention and both crimes and be stacked together

He was arrested so many times and they kept letting him out. He shouldn’t have been on the streets at all.

Never ceases to amaze me how many criminals get away with their crimes, & the innocent get jailed for defending themselves, & the guilty because they don’t like somebody frame that person, & get away with their heinous crimes, something very wrong with the justice system wherever you live! Just so wrong!
