I would imagine that in this AU Starlo tried his best to cope up with everything to regain what he lost but it went horribly wrong. In this AU, Martlet wishes to be left alone and stay in the cave because of the overwhelming disturbance and fear she has endured. Dalv is an ongoing musician following his passion and guiding kanako at most cases of her scenario. Chujin is still alive but is still coping up with everything trying to give a better life to his family. Ceroba is trying her best to not let kanako pursue what she is doing as ceroba is aware that kanako might end up sacrificing herself in hopes to save the underground. The feisty four parted ways a long time ago and starlo is trying to recover everything he lost only for him to lose clover on the process to make the underground better. It is not certain of he is filled with pride in hopes that everything will go in his way or he just wanted to return and recover everything he lost. But one things for sure, It is just my theory and nothing more. Maybe it might be something else. Not sure sorry.

If Kanako is the main protagonist, that would change a lot of things. There would be no quest to reach Asgore Castle like Clover's quest No threat of monsters trying to take your soul. Like there would no Meta Flowey or.. Temmie fight in that matter, Temmie would probably just straight up kill you and reset. The only thing i can think of is that maybe Clover's around and our quest is to protect them...?
