NOT KIDDING. I have been playing RL since 2016 and im plat 1. I could NOT for the life of me do anything off the wall. I have watched video after video on how to do it. Today i sat down for lunch and went through youtube to see what I was gonna watch while i eat and i saw this so i watched it. Im not joking when i said i pulled out my laptop at work, started up RL, connected my controller and I DID MY FIRST OFF THE WALL AIR DRIBBLE IN UNDER 10 MINUTES! These steps helped SO much! So thank you and now all i wanna do is air dribble. 😂

@@CBellRL You call it word vomit, I call it live feedback. It's infinitely more useful to see something like this where you give live feedback to someone struggling through their first attempts at dribbling. You break down the process and explain it extremely well. Most stuff I've seen is people who are masters at this going through the motions, but they already have it down to a science and that fails to show how they actually got there. This is pure gold, pardon the pun. And wholesome! I love what you have going on here and can't wait to see more! And I'll be on the lookout for Emmie in my games (hoping she is on my team though if this does happen xD)

I was trying every air dribble, aerials and that kind of tutorial I could find and none of them seemed to help me and sometimes it felt like I was getting worse and worse. But I saw this when I opened yt and tried learning again from scratch and this is the best air dribble video I’ve ever seen and it totally works. You’re the best coach I’ve seen yet and I loved how you broke down the step and it made perfect sense, it’s like it just clicked and I could suddenly do air dribbles😁 I couldn’t ask for a better video.

Currently C1 and I never really got the hang of air dribbling. I do it sometimes for fun in freeplay but I never became consistent enough to give it a try in game. I've watched a few videos, even one you (CBell) have made in the past, and it never really clicked for where I am mechanically. The tutorials always had too many details to focus on at the start, so I couldn't wrap my head around proper implementation. This step by step formula for setting up a air dribble is great! It's straightforward enough that I was able to get a multi touch dribble after 3 tries, and flexible enough that I could start seeing how to apply the steps in game. I really appreciate being able to watch someone else learn it as well! I get a sense of how much deviation from the steps will still work, and what is just going to mess up the dribble. I don't think I'll be scoring air dribbles anytime soon, but this is a great starting point for figuring out how to build consistency and learn the finer details of air dribbling. Now that I've seen this tutorial, I notice CBell uses the same setup for starting air dribbles in his Grand Champ to Supersonic Legend challenge. It looks like even at high levels of play, enough space will be created to allow you to complete the setup for an airdribble.

I saw this comment today and after first section of the comment i said "yeah, i got gc 3 times without any idea how to air dribble and im mostly (like 95%) a solo player, just the game-reading skills get me there or what?". I can prove that without skills in air u can get a gc3d1/gc3d3 but u will be a hard stuck there if u dont know mechanics in air. Im really curious how i can achieve gc without air drib.

Awesome content, she's doing really well! Here's a couple extra tips for air dribbles that really helped me when learning, for anyone trying to take it to the next level: 1) If you're able to get the first touch in the air ***while the ball is still flying upwards, towards the ceiling***, it will be MUCH easier to get a clean air dribble, that is difficult to defend. 2) You should focus on not boosting too much whenever you hit the ball. Beginners often hit the ball too far by boosting through the touches. (Side note: It is also useful to learn a more "bouncy air dribble" at some point, so it's easier to combine it with flip resets and stuff, but that's obviously not the first thing you should focus on.) Hope this helps someone! :)

i'm a gold player and this helped me so much, it took me almost two hours but step by step it worked out better and better. IMO the most important part to be successful to hit ur first multi touch is at 7:50 he makes it very clear how to rotate and hit the ball. I watched it in 0.25 speed to see exactly where he jumps and starts almost instant the rotation. That was my "I GOT IT" moment. I directly clipped this and sent to my friends :) thx emmie and cbell

Honestly, I've always seen people do this and thought that it looked really cool, but not something I'd ever be able to do. I got to a point where I learned how to defend and predict it, but never imagined I'd have the control to pull it off myself. Because of this video and the step by step breakdown, I've been spending an hour or so in training for the past few days practicing this and honestly, I'm making massive improvements. I've made a number of really solid aerial dribble goals, where my reaction was disbelief and an audible "Dude no way". They're still kinda inconsistent though, but I'm sure that comes with more training and practice. My biggest issue seems to be step 2 into 3, basically getting the ball off the wall and then jumping after it. It seems half the time, either I smack the ball into the ceiling and then can't catch it before it hits the ground, or I'm jumping off the wall and positioned above it. The latter came up in this video, but you didn't really mention a solution to it. You just said "Yeah, see how you're above the ball? We don't want that.". Any tips for fixing this? It seems hit and miss as to when I'm in a good followup position or stuck chasing it down for a ground pinch.

@LordGrimCreaper
@LordGrimCreaper 8 ай бұрын
@@TecHLL890 I stopped practicing air dribbles (or anything, really) awhile back, and I'm kinda back to square one with my consistency again, but I have an idea of what I'm doing. It's just... Doing it. Random maybe tip from a fellow stranger: try hitting the brakes a little bit, immediately after you touch the ball on the wall, but right before you make your jump off the wall to follow the ball. This should theoretically slow down your momentum so that you're not jumping over the ball. If you're regularly hitting the ball into the ceiling, try the same thing but right before touching the ball. Slow down a little bit to soften your touch so it doesn't slam into the ceiling. The only speed you really need for an air dribble, is to get the ball actually up the wall with some momentum. Edit: And to catch up with the ball on the wall. You should be moving just slightly faster than the ball when you make contact. Just a light boop, tap your brake, and jump. Tldr: Try slowing down a bit before hitting the ball or jumping after it.

This was great. I've only been playing for a couple of days, so watching you walk this through with an actual player really provided a lot of insight not only about how to perform the mechanics, but when and why you're doing them. For me the issue is not spazing out. I figured out pretty quick that even though it's called "Rocket" League, it really is more about steady pacing and not so much just rocketing about.

Oh Cbell when you were talking about the air rolling in the air dribble I remembered something from a squishy video I saw a while ago. Basically you use default airroll and put your left stick in between down and the side of your wall that you’re on, if that makes sense. So on the left wall you put your left stick in between directly down and directly left, for right wall it’s between down and right. Anyways hope this helps any lower ranked players out there. ❤

I've been air dribbling for about 4 years now and I had no idea what I was doing right or wrong. It's actually crazy I was able to setup at all without this critical knowledge. She did such a great job!

This is the only air dribble tutorial that matters, where you get to see the progression from the perspective of a student, you get to see what failure looks like through the eyes of a plat, and you get to see what progress looks like. A+

Actually those tips until this point, helped me a lot too! so.. Thanks! I am following you channel for a long time now, and I enjoy it. I don't even like RL that much to play, but love to watch. More then year ago I was plat 3 ( maybe d1 for a day ), and then I stopped playing the game, but have not stop watching it. Thanks to you for that

I remember struggling for months trying to learn just the correct way to set up an air dribble. If I had this video it would've been so much better. Great video for players still learning it and I can't wait for Emmie to hit champ and eventually GC. Seeing someone progress and rank up brought back a lot of memories I had with friends and got me a little choked up. Keep it up!

Man you really aint lying in your video titles :D Also CBell watching these videos is just so relaxing and makes you feel comfortable playing rocket league. For all of a fast paced game that rocket league is, your calmness really is a nice change. Really makes me root for Emmie. And I believe everybody would profit if they were a little more like CBell

I’m Plat1 in 1s and D1 in 2s, and I have never even tried to attempt an air dribble before because they look insane so I mostly work on my ground control but watching this made it look so easy to follow - practiced it for an hour last night and actually did my first 2-touch air dribble (with a bounce)! I’m going to keep practicing until I get it consistent but man this video is so helpful, can’t wait for the next one!
