Arthur Thuo, a father of two was a committed husband working in the neighboring Tanzania. One day he was called that his children were crying alone in the house. He realised his wife had ran away to work in night clubs as she had shown interest earlier, to which he had objected. The wife stayed away for two years, came back to Arthur one day, stayed for two weeks and left without a word. It is only later that Arthur realised he has been infected with the HIV. He has largely lived alone with his children struggling to feed them and still take care of them. He confesses to have tried to take their lives via poisoning but it never worked. As we speak, they are housed by a kind landlady at her home in another town, as he toils to make a shilling to seek constant medical help. Here is a story of the struggles of a single father.
