This shownis amazing and it is not only this couple. It is 3 couple in the same house, which ends up in murders every time, in different time periods like this one clip I think is 1963 then there is a couple in 1983 and one couple in 2023. It's great! 100% recommend. I'd watch it again and I am so hoping for another season! I know it would likely be different ppl due to the deaths and stuff but it'd be just as good!!!!!!

I think that he would make her believe that it was her fault that he was cheating, that she was a bad wife and he "had to" look for comfort outside their marriage and maybe he would even use their child's death as an excuse why he was cheating. In the end he made her believe that she was responsible for their daughter's death. He is a narcissist, a scumbag and a psychopath I think. She had no choice but get free and the way she chose to do it was perfect. In the end some kind of Justice was served.

Edit: Just loaded the replies. The first guy/gal said it perfectly. I’m just adding on. To be able to compartmentalize his two lives he was probably someone with narcissistic tendencies so he would have told her she’s crazy and doesn’t know what she’s talking about. And use that as a reason to leave her. He would have formed his own narrative about the situation and left her for the mistress. He was already setting her up for what he expects. He was priming her. What’s interesting in this scene though is the wife’s overwhelming fear of abandonment that lead her to lie about something so important. She showed here that she’s just as crazy, but obviously with less bad intentions like her husband has. She probably has borderline personality disorder. I say this almost exclusively due to the extreme abandonment issues (obviously there’s more to it but this is a big part of it) she showed. BPDs are really hard to live with tho but they have good intentions, when they stray away from NPD traits. They just don’t want to be abandoned. I’ve witnessed some case studies and they’re the least troublesome of the cluster b disorders, though still really troublesome as shown in the clip.

From all of us who have watched the show from the KZbin clips, I think we can all agree that Rob is a toxic individual and could potentially be characterized as a narcissist and here's why. He has a strong fear of abandonment, which is also why he's a serial cheater. He knows he has flaws so he tries to hide his feelings of himself in "meaningless" intercourse with others to feel like multiple people love him which hightens his chance of having another person to fall back on if his infidelity gets discovered. He blames his wife and becomes distant about the passing of their daughter even though his infidelity caused her passing. This is called blame shifting, so he doesn't have to feel guilty. The guilt is heavily related to shame and children who experience a lot of shame tend to lie to save face and can even become impulsive liars as a result of the negative attention they get when being wrong so to avoid this theu blame others. He also INSISTS he'll never leave his wife... As long as she's around and does what she's told. The minute she's no longer "perfect" or in a position to take care of his ego (i.e. being married and having a successful career and loving family to support it) he will try to discard her for another woman. I'm not a licensed clinician so I'm not saying he's a narcissist... But he definitely is toxic

You know what's worst??! Is that aholes like him exists! Had an ex that cheated on me with another married woman! Gave her money but not me that just gave birth!!! Asked him to give me but said he didn't have the money. And it wasn't like I was demanding money. I told him it's a husband duty and all I wanted was for him to contribute something! Didn't stop my mom!😂 She'd had enough of her then husband drinking and at 28, in 1959, she walked out. Her mother raised 2 girls from the ages of 4 and 16 months (my mom), on her own, when my grandpa died in '33. She worked hard, and when their house burned in 40, she worked harder, saved and 5 yrs later built a new home that still stands today. There's a narrative of "female oppression" that isn't quite true. I grew up around the men and women of this era and much older and none of them were anything like MSM etc., would like for you to believe.
