You have a very unique life and it's so Cool that your resume dovetails right into your jobs! Kudos! The Lighthouse "caretaker", the Ships caretaker, and Hotel Manager, and you are having fun while doing it!! The thing that gets me though, is that L O N G commute from the Hotel to the Ship... How do you handle it?? 😆😆😆😆! The Vaporous Guests are in most hotels that are over 100+ years old..... We have a few here at the Hotel Congress downtown, at the Copper Queen in Bisbee(I didn't get to see them...), and in my home town of Douglas, The Gadsden. I'd pay money😁 just to watch Casa Blanca, Key Largo, or any old B&W movies in the Ships "Theater".. lol! That would be a blast! Yes, I watched both "episodes". Again, very cool! Have fun and enjoy yourself!

I could listen to Desiree(sp?) talk about these amazing places for hours! You can tell she has a deeply rooted sense of gratitude and respect for these historic landmarks. I just moved to southern California about 2 years ago so my partner and I could be closer to his family and I have so many places I want to visit! I love cinema history and anything having to do with it so I am up to my eyeballs here 😂 Listening to Desiree talk about the synchronicities of life just makes me want to go out and find my own chips and make them fall into place.

Well, John - I DID see the other video of Desirée and that is what made me subscribe to your channel. What an amazing woman she is! She is living life on her terms and I am over the moon about that! To say that Desirée is an incredible role model would be a terrible understatement. I am so impressed about how you don’t let your ego rule your production style. It comes across as confident and inquisitive; too often I have seen what would have been an interesting topic turned off for me by the producer over-narrating or over-inserting themselves into the story. Yeah this is a bit odd. There's an entire video by the same channel dedicated to her life on "an Old World War II Cargo Ship" that, best as I can tell, makes no mention of the fact that she also lives here. I mean hey, I skipped around, maybe I missed it. But I'd expect this video to start with "Hey, we're following the same woman from the previous video and she **also** lives here!"

I was going to say hey! You put the lady on the ships picture in a different video. What's up! It got me to tune in on another video. Esrly 2000, I was in San Francisco and came across a building that had a small corner store and an Italian restaurant next to it. It was multi story and the top rooms could be rented out. It was built in 1921. I was seriously looking at buying the olace, especially since it already had commercial tenants. I should have, but missed that opportunity. I can only imagine how much its value has grown.

When I was a teenager, living in Lafayette Calif., me and my girlfriends used to go spend Fri/sat nights at “The Point” (Point Richmond) because it was the coolest place to hang out and there were a lot of cute boys hanging out down at the park. Lol Memories there are all good. I loved it there.

really enjoyed this , I part managed a Vegan bed and breakfast that had a very loving presence , it was the ONLY place I ever felt completly safe on my own in and walking around it in the dark , generally I sleep with lights on 😂I found out that the Station master owned and loved this house / home ( he had passed ) and he was glad to have me there as I loved it just as much as he did
