It seems like she's really pushing back against his advice, but I think her real struggle might be fear holding her back. If she can dig into what's causing her self-sabotage, challenge her beliefs, and make adjustments, she could totally turn things around. Keep pushing forward! 🚀
@coachtinab1259 ай бұрын
Thanks Dan, this video is helpful, could definitely see her resistance is because she's putting what she values as the priority aka feeling better verses what someone who a high achiever/business owner values which is a quantifiable ROI and as a side benefit they will "feel" better. Of course that all depends on the person that they are actually speaking with and understand and leverage what they value. Maybe someone does put a higher value on feeling better and for them the side benefit is making more money. It's a matter of aligning and getting the sequencing of what the potential client values in the correct order.
@wellnesswithjon9 ай бұрын
I would say she is not prioritizing her sense of value over what the other person values. She is just saying that she helps people be less stressed and isn't focused on making them more money. I'm in her same niche. I'm stupid in re making people better at business. That's for people like Dan. But, I've helped thousand of people be permanently less stressed, more focused, and learn to unhook from stress triggers and reset more quickly (like Dan described in the video). I have done that with clients for 26 years and get consistent results. So, it makes the most sense to me to say to someone: I can give you that. It may help you make more money. But, more money or not, it's going to improve the value of your life dramatically and lastingly. What's that worth? Rich people buy yachts and the yacht owner isn't prioritizing (in a bad way) the pleasure of yacht ownership over making money when they sell the yacht to the rich person. It's just what they do. They sell yachts. This woman and I help people transform their lives into more happiness and focus and less stress. I get that that isn't easily quantified. But, the yacht salesperson also can't easily quantify how much pleasure ownership will be. I would say, if you won't do it unless it makes you money, then you don't really value it.
@coachtinab1259 ай бұрын
@wellnesswithjon I can promise you that a pizza boy who ends up buying a yacht, will not only get pleasure out of it but it will make him more money 😊. People buy based on emotional and justify with logic. Neither way is right or wrong. A person who values family may justify the value of your program based on how it will help their family and because they value that and they see the cost of how not solving their problem will impact their family may motivate them to spend more. If you're talking to someone like Dan who does value business and money and what the ROI is you probably won't be able to help him solve his problem if you can't tie it back to what he values.
@wellnesswithjon9 ай бұрын
@@coachtinab125 Hey, thanks for the thoughtful reply. I totally agree that one has to tie it back to what the person values or else they aren't going to buy. I'm just thinking that even wealthy people buy based on valuing things/experiences/transformations that aren't always focused on obvious connection to ROI. Dan mentioned people shopping at Louis Vuiton (sp?). Dan himself has shared that he has formerly purchased a penthouse and yacht. I'm guessing those purchases relate at the time to things/experiences not immediately tied to ROI (at least during the sale closing even if someone could construct logic later like "I'll make more money if I dress nicely."). Stress and anxiety are miserable for any of us, regardless of our wealth. For many people, it's easy to see how lowering that would improve their lives. I'm just saying, if you made $100million a year and were completely miserable and I said "I can reduce that misery in a way that permanently transforms your stress and allows you to be much more calm and happy much more of the time but it might not increase your wealth," would that be worth it even if you still make $100million? If you say no, then you really are fine staying miserable. You don't value it enough to get the service.
@joshrossj-ro87139 ай бұрын
Dan, this is one of my favorite, if not my favorite video of yours. You literally nailed my exact problem. I am a music school owner earning $20k per month, just like her. And yet, my biggest challenge is not charging more because my product is music lessons offering an intagible benefit. The reason I have not yet felt confident charging $5k or more is because at this point in April 2024, a customer could not yet reasonably say that my services are giving them an ROI of over $5k. If I want to charge $20k or more for my services, I have to communicate clearly to a client how my services help them save/earn way more than $20k. I believe there are so many small business owners like me who offer a non money making product and in order to level up to high ticket, they have to find a way of clearly making the ROI super obvious to the clients so they can justify the purchase and feel like it is so amazing, even at that price, that they want to tell everyone they know.

Im only 5:46 in, but I’m already gettin so much value from this. I would add just som constructive criticism: Dan, when she says that it’s not just about money, she’s right. There are millionaires who go to her, and I guarantee you that the ROI they’re looking for it’s 100% not money, not even time. They want inner peace, better relationships, maybe better control of some of their behaviors. I feel like you are scared to hear this because then you think “oh so I cant tie her price back to the money ROI”. Wrong: happines, inner peace, have a HUGE value, that could even help her ask astronomical prices. Way more than “oh I can work better, so I made 50k more this year” or even few milliona more” That’s pointless and worthless compred to FEELING healthy, loved and at peace. So I believe you shouldn’t fight her when she says that it’s not just about money for the client. Cause shes sayin the truth. AND it is totally still linkable with a monetary value. Just my 2 cents You think 20k is too much to ask if there’s no money ROI? Wrong. Is your inner peace worth less than 20k? Easy to handle the price objection when you put it against things that are worth all the money in the world. And it resonates even more with ultrahigh ticket clients who understood what really matters in life and that have all the streams of income they need already. If it was just about momey they’d go to a growth consultant or just outsource stuff. Not to a hypnotherapist. I love your content, but on that topic you were not really fully open-minded in my opinion.
@DanHenry9 ай бұрын
This is all true, UNTIL the credit card comes out. To be fair, this is how it SHOULD be. But I've been on over a thousand sales calls, and I have coached over 1,200 consultants and entrepreneurs personally over the last decade. At least a few dozen sold her EXACT offer. This is not my opinion, this is based on hard DATA. What should be and what is are two different things. I wish you were right, prolly would be a much better world!

Sales is clearly psychology mixed with you truly getting something for your payment. Let’s be real though For ppl on the buying side who may find a program or service too expensive, that is real. Sometimes you’ll find yourself in a time in a place where you really don’t have the actual money to pay for a particular offering. That is a very real thing. It doesn’t mean you can’t go get the money if you’re committed to getting the result, but you literally may not have it in a given time and have to get the resources first. In saying that though, I believe that’s why it’s important to know who you’re trying to talk to, know your audience because that will play a major role in what their affordability and access to resources is. You can’t be trying to accommodate a 17 year-old who is working at a minimum wage job’s type of affordability lol while making transformational offers that are valued at $20,000+ There are other programs and people who can service different target groups so you have to make sure you are focusing on who you plan to serve versus, casting a widen net.
