Hey. That is seriously well played. I love how Davey spotted links between Celtic and Indian melodies. Sublimely executed by you. 🙏

This song was my first love and got me interested in solo acoustic guitar when I was in high school. It was coupled with Black Waterside and performed by the greatest song thief of all time 😝 under the title “White Summer/Black Mountainside.” It was my favorite song for a decade (before discovering Fahey) and one of my top five favorite songs of all time. Sandy Denny and Fairport Convention do a fantastic rendition as well. You’re the man Andrew.

I heard of Davey through Zeppelin. When I was younger I was OBSESSED with Page's "White Summer". Then one day someone told me to listen to this, and I couldn't believe how similar they sounded. Still blows my mind to this day. There's influence, and then there's copyright infringement lol. Nonetheless, I was bummed. But, you killed it my friend. Beautiful work.

Jimmy page is renowned for stealing. Tbf, you should listen to black waterside by Bert Jansch if you haven’t already, Jimmy stole that note for note and called it his own and Bert didn’t make a penny. There’s countless others too

Blown away by that. Suddenly remembered Davey Graham after a couple of glasses of wine and can;t access the formats of his albums that I have. Spotify was useless so came looking on KZbin and happened upon this gem. And so glad that a talented musician would produce a version of this song in 2020
