Pro Tip: next time get a coffee mug, fill it up with just the soup of Sinigang. Before you eat it with rice, have a sip in the mug to awaken your palate. Pinoy Old Timers like to treat the soup like Coffee. Enjoy!

The broth would be so flavorful on the tongue, and I'm sure would taste delicious. We don't have many soups in America like what you have in the Philippines. Many are like tomato soup or mushroom soup, not large chunks of additional items but rather it's all just pulverized into a even consistency. Just meaning your idea wouldn't work in the US, and I think it's an amazing idea that would work well with the Filipino soup

I have a question for the owner of the channel. What is the typical food, in the US, that's like sinigang? I mean, its not the taste....but like a food....that is known all over the US but when cooked by different ppl...its has its own version? A food that is soup-based. Coz normally...u will just say.....bbq or steak... or maybe a burger. Do you have any soup based food in the US that when cooked by different Americans....it has its own version.

Great questions and I'll put extra effort into answering. Typically Soup is a side dish, just like Salad, it's something you eat before the main course meal. Now there is one area in USA that could relate to Philippines food, and that's the State of LOUISIANA. It's food is based around Rice and Seafoods (shrimp, crawdads, fish, etc), but there are also very popular on chicken and pork. They have several dishes that are kind of soup based with a mixture of rice. One of my favorites is jambalaya, and many other dishes. In Louisiana they look very spicy, just puke Bicol Philippines, so expect many sauce and Sili (chili 🌶️) pepper to be in the meals.

This coming September or October I plan to be held in Louisiana, we will make it a point to shoot several films on the Cajun food in Louisiana. It's delicious and I always love eating there, the only bad part about it is you feel like your pants are getting smaller because they become more tight. Well really it's actually us getting bigger from eating so much delightful food, lol

As far as the ordinary American diet there are some other foods that are kind of similar. Like beef stew, it has beef and carrots and different vegetables all mixed in to a broth that is cooked on low heat so it is very tender and the seasoning absorbs.

I hope I answered your questions, if you have more please I would love to explain my cultures foods. Soon we plan on doing some films on American southern BBQ, oh my gosh it is so delicious and cooked very different than barbecue in the Philippines. The Southern American barbecue is primarily based on cooking at very low temperatures for very long periods of time with lots of smoke, VS what I noticed about Philippine barbecue is the cook very fast over charcoal direct heat and it's more focused on using lots of sauce for the flavor.

@@CharlieWayneAdventures I mean...in the US...do you have a specific food...that is loved by Americans but every people have their own version to it. For PH, one example is the Adobo. PH people love it. But when u go to other places...they have different versions on how Adobo is cooked. I hope u understand my question :) English is not my first language. Because u only answer a specific food in Louisiana. I was pertaining to like the whole US.

Thanks, I learned that early in my first trips from other helpful people like yourself. I tend to use those terms like Sir/Ma'am, as it conveys respect to your elders. But at times I also address the youngsters with the terms to set an example.
