It was calculated that she would be placed in 5th place, as the first 4 must sign a binding contract. Simon is involved in all the "Got Talent" shows around the world. He knew about Angelina when she won in Norway. ALL the judges were already huge fans of Angelina before this performance. They were thrilled to have a front row seat for this incredible performance. Note Heidi Klum clapping BEFORE Angelina sang and Heidi gave Angelina the Golden Buzzer for this performance and they are still great friends. Angelina's family refused to sign any contract which would have give Simon any control over her career, so winning The Champions wasn't going to happen. Angelina is a music prodigy with a set of skills unlike any other I know of. She created her own arrangements for every song she sang and the vocal choices she makes are other-worldly. The only things which exceed Angelina's music talents are her humility and empathy. *Why Angelina always performs barefoot* At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. "Welcome to the wonderful world of Angelina Jordan!" As a first time listener you became emotionally overcome by a feeling of love inside you. In fact you began to feel that way before she even sang a note! Two things you grabbed onto very quickly were noteworthy for a first time listener. The fact that you noticed a dramatic change in her voice when she began to sing and also that she appeared to sing without any effort in her body language. You were correct in both thoughts. She gets into every song she sings so completely she has admitted she goes off somewhere when she is singing. She can't describe it but tells us it is a beautiful place. (The amazing thing is she takes us along with her into that special world.) Effort? She was quoted when she was very young telling us she is most comfortable in her life when she is singing on stage for people. The comment "she was born to sing" is more than a cliche, it suits Angelina perfectly. If you choose to join all of us around the world on her journey you will begin to understand not only does her voice and artistic abilities loft her to a highest level a performer can achieve (and she's still mastering her voice changes as she reaches full maturity) but it's also 'who she is'. She is an extraordinary human being and many of her fans (her angels) will relate stories to you about what she means to them. Personally, she has changed my life. I am a nicer person, kinder, more caring and loving than I have ever been in my life and she has inspired me. You will realize everything about her is all about LOVE. Loved your reaction to AJ! If you are planning on jumping into the Angelina rabbit hole, may i suggest that you begin with her earliest ventures and work your way up to the present. That's what everyone of her true followers have done for the last 5 years or so. This will help you to truly understand that she is a prodigy. There are many other very good singers out there, but none can match the way she can draw you in to her world of music. She loves the old classics and writes her own music too. She plays piano and sometimes a little guitar thrown in, but her voice is why we come to watch and listen, and be captivated. You are in for quite a treat!! BTW, you are very pretty and i love your voice!

Thank you for your reaction. Not shown is this video is that she received the Golden Buzzer from Heidi Klum. Simon may not have really heard Angelina sing much but he already knew about her because AGT had been trying to get her on the show because of her Norways Got Talent win. However as others have said, her family did not want to have to sign with Simon’s company. They finally reached an agreement that she would be released from any obligations to sign. Not sure if that meant that she wouldn’t be allowed to win, possibly. The publicity probably helped lead to her signing with Republic Records a few months after the end of the competition.

She got the golden buzzer and did 3 amazing performances. She did not win the entire competition itself many say this was because she and her family were not willing to be put under contract if she won. She and her family have always wanted her career to progress slowly so she could have the most normal childhood possible. No promotion, only doing concerts primarily in the summer when school was out, etc. She did end up signing with Republic Records around a year or after these 3 performances from AGT. With Republic she has been given great latitude to continue this approach coupled with artistic freedom. She has 100s of amazing performances from age 6 to now Age 18. Oh boy, you are going to be bombarded by her fans called Angels that will fill you in on this music prodigy with an old soul from Norway. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Even though she has been compared by many to Amy Winehouse, her major influence is Billie Holiday. Other influences are Dinah Washington, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Etta James,Whitney Houston, and Adele to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered at age 7 and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, "Wow, what a rendition!" For Queen to respond to someone covering one of their songs is quite a feat since they rarely react to anyone. She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity. You have fallen into the vortex of Angelina Jordan who arguably brings the most confident, versatile, seemingly effortless, and fearless vocal artistry found today (whether measured across artists, genres, or decades). You may think this an exaggeration but listen to a few more of her many performances (170+ covers plus original songs - all on YT) and you will see! She has been performing at a high level all over the world since age 8 when she won Norway's Got Talent singing Billie Holiday, Nancy Sinatra, and Gershwin. It is the rare singer that can, as Angelina has done, go from Queen to "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Adele to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Michael Jackson to Etta James to James Brown to Amy Winehouse to the Beatles (and many others in between) and do them all justice! If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music, listen to Angelina. She will stagger you with her ability to find and bring forth the 'essence', the emotional message of nearly any song. You have far to go with Angelina. She did not win AGT Champ, but she got the golden buzzer (which was introduced in AGT in 2014 just after she won NGT), she won a lot of new fans, she has become friends with Heidi Klum (the judge that pressed the golden buzzer), and she signed up with Republic Records a short time after AGT Champ. Even though she didn't win the competition, she kind of won anyway. Her uncle that is her manager wouldn't sign the standard contract with AGT, and some say that is the reason she didn't win. Anyway, AGT Champ was a good stepping stone for her, and she is doing what she want to do, not what somebody else want her to do.

Yes, you’re right. Everything Angelina sings looks effortless-and she sings in many different genres. You have so much ahead of you with Angelina from age 7 (yes, 7) to now at 18. She’s easily the best singer I’ve ever heard. If you want to see her more recently, watch her cover of Adele’s Easy on Me which is from a couple years ago. Angelina never shows off with her vocal skills-she gives the song what it needs and she respects the original music and singer. But as you saw today, you get something that’s all Angelina. She did not win and you will no doubt have been told why by many people, many of whom are speculating. They can only suggest why she could not win not why she did not win, which is a different thing altogether. Irrespective of this, it is important to consider that shows like this cater to performers with any of a multitude of talents, not just singers. So great singers may nevertheless lose to great magicians, for example, or acrobats, trapeze artists and child violinists in Angelina's case. The point is that they are entertainment shows which, if people watch them because they believe them to be real contests, have more than served their purpose. Many who know not to take them seriously are nevertheless entertained, which is why there will always be a place for them.

donna AGT Champions featured many winners and other notable acts from other Got Talent franchises. Their previous success saw them signing record deals, performance contracts, agents, etc. BEFORE they appeared on AGT-C and, therefore, could not sign the standard AGT agreement. AJ DID sign a contract with AGT that freed her of any obligations.

It worked out for the better , She signed with a great record company Republic Records, They are taking it slow with her, They even built her, her own Studio wing on their building for her only, So they have 100% faith in her. Angelina and the team did not want to sign the contract to AGT and she was only there to draw viewers and get a little extra PR. It was calculated that she would be placed in 5th place, as the first 4 must sign a binding contract. She signed the following year with Rebublic Records (Amy Winhose - Ariane Grande - Taylor Swift etc.) - Today she is 18 years old and on her way to becoming a superstar!
