Me personally, I used to be extremely obsessed with my career and my future ect ect... then after a decade passed and after making "progress" in our capitalist economy that encourages people to put career first over family, I finally realized that maybe I was always single because I had virtually no chill and made no time for PEOPLE. I was in the military and my husband is a retired military officer and he doesn't want or wasn't attracted to a woman whose personality is like this.
