Normally I HATE when the fiance comes to the appointments but he was so supportive and sweet! Even when he didnt like the one dress he did it quietly and just shook his head lol. I feel like it only boosted her confidence that she picked the right dress. They seem like a wonderful couple, I wish them a beautiful life together!

I loved the groom’s nature, and especially the way you could TELL that his reaction was geared towards his bride’s feelings. Even when shown the dress he didn’t approve of, I could sense that it was more about it not doing the woman he loves’ beauty justice rather than that he didn’t like what the style of the gown. She took the bad news about the first dress so well because she is used to being disappointed when clothes shopping. Shops cater for a particular shape, so if you are busty, have extra junk in the trunk, have extra junk everywhere, petite or tall like Kia, shopping can be a frustrating chore instead of the fun time it should be.

I am 4'11, but I'm also extremely busty up top and petite waist down, so I completely get it. It's frustrating and not nearly as fun when all the mediums are too big but the smalls are too small, you start dancing the line of in between sizes and just go with whatever because now you're mad and want to go home

@@skarrlettewinter6669 gotta love buying sports bras (dresses and even some shirts) with traditional S/M/L sizing! you want it to fit your bust or your ribs? pick one only! 😒 idk why sizing in america is like this. size small only fits up to a cup "c" because clearly women with smaller frames cant possibly have large busts. D+ cup sizes are band size 34 and up only over here and it drives me bonkers. UK/EU sizing ftw

Yours has too much material, but in a lot of cases, very tall ladies don't have enough material and you can't usually add it, so it's a bit more complicated on this end.

The bride said her budget was $3-4k but the dress she chose was $4,600 so add on the extra length and other alternations that dress will be at least $5,600 when all said and done not including the veil and headpiece. So frustrating when they show them a dress out of budget

I think its about 1% of women in the United States are taller then 6'0 while men its around 15%. I think tall men are less of a surprise (especially due to sports like Basketball when most are taller then average), but for women being 1% makes it much more surprising.

However you look at it, it is still a heck of a lot of money to spend on something that will be worn but once. Now, if there is a way to repurpose the fabric, that could offset the expenditure (my sister did just that with her wedding gown ..... had a tailor deconstruct the dress and had a simply styled suit made that she wore for church and special occasions.)

After her hesitancy ebbed away and she spoke up more confidently, I thought, "This woman needs her own show. Girls need to see women like her succeeding in distinctly non-trad careers." She's way past telegenic, and she comes across as warm and engaging. Her agent should think about it. I like the way her husband-to-be looked at her, especially when he saw her in the last dress. Oh brother! I'm a seamstress. All she needs to do with dress #1, is to take it to a tailor/seamstress and have them let down some of the tucks and she will have her length. In a pinch (ha!) fabric could be added and the seam hidden in the tucks.

As a non-westerner I dont understand how you find differences between these white dresses. For me, they almost are somewhat similar. In my culture, bride wear red dresses and there are lot of varieties to wear them including change of color or making it multicolor etc
