Yeah, but thats the thing. i think that occured in his mind to be the obvious answer, but asked anyway to be sure, because yelling IS IT MY TURN NOW? can seem very obnoxious to people unaware of her dissability. Thats the thing i would fear most about being blind, is being a burden to others, or seem obnoxious.

"When I lost my vision I lost all of my friends" makes me sad, angry, and it hurts to think about people not supporting their friends while they are going through such a difficult adjustment. I would never treat a friend like that! Anyway, this video was fun an VERY inspiring !

I know it's a year later, but still, I don't think it's, "well, you're blind so I'm not gonna hang out with you anymore," I think it's more that there's a lot of stuff that blind people would enjoy less or can't do at all, so you just grow apart.

The recreation of what her vision potentially looks like was brilliant. Really puts things in perspective and really frustrated me to be honest. As an artist who works with film and is behind the camera and in front of the camera and loves to draw and do photography... my ability to see is one of the top 3 things I am grateful for every day. I love being able to see the world. Molly is amazing for having her channel and teaching others how some people have to view the world in a different way. Thanks for sharing her with us, Casey.

From a neurological perspective blindness is extremely interesting. See when our brains have a "vacant" spot so to speak it will repurpose this portion of the brain. This unfortunately means most people who have been blind for an extended period of time no longer have the capability to know how to see. What's even more interesting is that our subconscious thinks in visual concepts so when somebody becomes blind their method of thinking shifts. The lanaguage center of the brain actually begins to enlarge which facilitates somebody who is blind to begin thinking in language more often, which forces the frontal cortex to become activated. Meaning..?.. Blind people are more likely to be logical thinkers.

Eric as ik a blind person and they have much better hearing and know which was to look as the lights can show her that where to look. If you dont acctully believe she's blind idk to say but get your facts straight.

This is an incredible vlog for two reasons: 1) promoting smaller KZbinr's is something I'd like all successful creators do 2) the fact that Molly creates videos and is blind is incredible (even with help from her Mum). I'm partially sighted (blind in my right eye) and I have challenges that I don't talk about like making sure the tripod and camera are positioned so it looks like I'm looking at the camera and struggle to walk and vlog. Going to subscribe to molly's channel now and I hope others do so. Nice work Molly.

this is a great important youtube topic. Making more videos with youtubers with handicap to demonstrate workarounds is groundbreaking for youtube at large.

Only the Neistat could blindfold himself and create a superior vlog than most of what KZbin has to provide. Thanks for sharing your life with us Molly!

WinterF0x HD That's actually a huge misconception about blind people. Thanks to technology blind people have access to a system called VoiceOver that reads everything on a computer/tablet/phone screen. Molly has multiple videos on her channel on how she uses technology

Tons of people have done it before with all sorts of different disabilities, actually, but I agree that this was a very Casey-like thing to do, and it makes the vlog very interesting.

yea so I wrote this comment about how I was feeling at the time after watching the video.. had I known it would get upvoted and taken so literally I would have maybe thought more about what to write. (I figured it would just get lost in all the other comments)

Molly is so inspiring! And I absolutely love how she helped us understand visual impairment and took us into her world even just for a few minutes. I especially liked how when they were at the coffee shop she was like 'just ask' how she put so much trust in others is really something in itself. To not be afraid or ashamed in asking others for help to can applied to literally anything (not just visual impairment) which was quite nice to think about. P.S. you were great too Casey (keep it up! ) and your vlogs truly cheer me up after a long day

its not a stupid comment, its ignorant. i don't mean that in a rude way, but people tend to pity those with disabilities - it's just human behavior. All it takes is some exposure and teaching =)
@TheNerdJockPod6 жыл бұрын
This is completely amazing. KZbinrs like this who have to work extra hard at it because of a disability should inspire others. I know this is an older video of yours Casey but I love going back to watch the old stuff. I’m glad you are always doing stuff like this it means a great deal to a lot of people.

Casey your videos always bring the good side of everydays life. Thanks from bringing her to this video, she is such an inspiration for all of us. Have a great week. God bless you.
