Turkmenistan is not religious country and matter of fact, country is open to different kind of religions as long as it is not used to brainwashing and harming (sects). I met there people worshipping Buddhism and Hinduism.

Actually they used to have a large Jewish communities but then the Jews and Christians slowly started moving to Uzbekistan. I don’t know how or why , but they used to have many synagogues and churches. I am loving this Turkmenistan series! Keep up the good work

I wish that Jews and Muslims could live peacefully together all over the world. We both have beautiful, peaceful, religions and cultures, and we are so similar. Where I live, there are mostly Christians, and the few Jews and Muslims stick together because we can relate in so many ways, with our cultures, our differences from the mainstream Christian society, and also the discrimination against us, sadly. Eastern Turkmenistan has been a part of Bukharain emir. There were a lot Bukharain jews. You could visit Turkkmenabat (Charjow) there is Jewish cemetery. Unfortunately all Jews immigrated to other countries after collapsing USSR.
