That's awesome! Building anything other than stock definitely has it's ups and downs. When I did my V8 El Camino conversion, got the stout engine in, and not long after, blew the trans and open diff all at the same time and was left stranded on the freeway. Didn't stop me from just building the next piece to get it back on the road. Wish I would have filmed more of that build. Lots of fun, but hard work as well.

Watch the video when the turbo feed was leaking all over the parking lot, like the vids man. I just swapped my 2003 WRX engine with a semi built setup and of all things blew a hose this morning, after getting the inter cooler back on I’m putting the BPV on and stripped the threads. Out to autozone and 3 hours and $40 later I now own a tapper set, and am running a bigger boot on one side! Lol. She’s making boost though!!

LOL, couldn't resist since it looked like a sax. I'm definitely getting more comfortable to the point I didn't even think about showing the welds. They came out really well, strength wise and properly welding the pieces together. Not instagram pretty, but some parts were. I think what'll improve the look of my welds is an actually table and something to hold the piece I'm welding together rather than propping them up with a roll of tape on work on a wood crate lol. Didn't take long!

Seeing all this work being done to your Cruze makes me so envious. I have a UK spec 1.6 and wouldn't have a clue where to start for large-scale modifications like this. I've only changed the rear lights to LEDs and added a boot spoiler and roof spoiler to it. I do plan on getting a CAI and bodykit but all that's a far cry from this work. Keep it up.

@@usereleven2797 Nice. I've actually been on the hunt a decent Astra because it's the same engine. Don't believe they have the VIM, which I like. As far as tuning, I'm not seeing it listed on HPTuners site. So chances are you would have to go with a stand alone ECU, unless you can dig deeper and find some sort of tuning solution that'll work with the stock ECU. Plugging HPTuners in and seeing if it'll read and or write may work, but if it's not listed on their site, chances are it wont work. I'd be interested in what ECU is in the vehicle. DM me pics of the ECU if you don't mind to my instagram.

Have you considered doing the "Big 3" power upgrade to help out with the dead battery issues? since i know most of your power issues typically are from starting it more often then running it to charge the battery, it may help get things started up. or even moving the battery into the trunk and getting a larger AGI battery? 0 gauge OFC cable from the alternator to the battery, then another line from the negative of the battery to the block would make a world of difference.

@@cmattdabrat sweet! i'd love to see a video on that in the future! i've done a lot with car audio in the past, and one thing i did pick up was that SkyHighAudio is a great company for getting quality 0 gauge OFC cable. definitely watch out for Copper Clad Aluminum 0 gauge, its a lot cheaper but theres a good reason why!
