It seems 'likely' to me, the sort of advice she got will say ; 'Well, if you for example were living 'THUS', there would be no tax due'. In other words, it is 'likely' in my view that the advice would be coaching on how to avoid it.. So if she SAID she was living thus she would not have to pay it but it is likely witnesses can attest she was not living like that.
