What has helped me so much in situations like this is reminding myself that I can still love someone without liking them. It helps me process a big chunk of the emotion and helps me move on. (I actually learned this lesson when I was very young because many of my extended family members are a-holes) 🤣

We are visual, graphic thinkers who think about sex every few seconds. So the mental images - extremely graphic ones - of his wife getting rhythmically slammed into the headboard will revisit his thoughts every few seconds. So unless he has a cuckold fetish there is no way he can reconcile. Oh, he may try. Unlikely, but he may. But its doomed. Would you consider it cheating if the wife, who 1) lives in another country ( she traveled back and forth 6 times a year ) and never moved to the USto permanently be eeith husband ( because husband lived with a parent, in part to take care of the parent and in part because he didn't have a job to take full care of himself) 2) began to BE emotionally abused BY the husband (he accused her of cheating which she absolutely was NOT doing.) The husband suffered abuse and anxiety as a child and adult which began surfacing like a damn burst AFTER they got married. The husband hated that he felt inadequate and unworthy because of his own standards and the parent he lived with and was helping is a narcissist who was draining the son and wife (when she came ) of positivity. The wife even began to realize this. 3) She went back to her country(April of 2021) as usual but never returned in part due to the husband becoming suspicious and accusing her of liking and being with a friend of hers that the wife knew for 25+ years and whose wife just past in March 2021 and who the wife was also confiding in about her marital hardships. The husband told her not to come for thanksgiving or Christmas because he suspected her to be cheating or at least WANTING this other guy, which she eventually went to in February 2022 Valentines Day. The wife told the husband when he said he would come down to be with her and he apologized for his behavior and he was getting therapy, "...boooy , I don't that is a good idea...". From Oct 2021 she began to not answer his calls or cut their conversations short and she told husband that she was working closely with her friend (the wife, husband and the friend are all musicians). As time went on the husband and wife spoke less and less and her time with this was increased as the friend set up gigs and all for je amd the wife and was building up her musical skills to a higher professional level amd so she learned the business better. In October of 2021 the wife had told the husband that her friend of 25+ years told her that his wife, who passed in March of 2021, told him one time that if anything happened to her, that the wife who is friends with the husband if 25+ years woukd be the nest woman to fit and take her place. After the husband was told this by his wife, he truly felt that the wife told him this as a way to tell him that she wants thus guy and really wants the husband to just quietly go away (which he did ny staying away and telling not to come for thankgiving ot Christmas since she may already be in a affair ). The deceased wife and this wife look VERY similar. In February 2022 after Valentines day the wife tells husband that she is going be with her friend of 25+ years as much, however long and in whatever she chooses and she told the husband fuck you amd that she he better do what he wants because she is going to do what she wants and she doesn't give a damn any more ( i guess she was tired of the emotional abuse ). The wife has NEVER filed for divorce and refuses to discuss it. When the wife and husband spoke shebsays it she can't talk about it as it makes her said and unable to do whatbshebhas to do and she is doing ALL and more of the musical things that she has always wanted to the point that her time is COMPLETELY FILLED. She and her friend of 25 years are now a force in the musical world using SOME of the ideas that the husband wanted to do with the wife but the wife was NOT receptive to them at that time. Did the wife cheat by leaving the husband due to abuse and then being with this other man and NOT divorcing the husband? Signed hurting husband
