My girlfriend cheated on me 3 years ago and I'm still trying to heal believe it or not. She did it with a coworker who was married. Well long story short he went back to his wife so she came back to me. Deep down in my heart I feel like a 2nd choice and it feels terrible. I love this woman with all my heart and trying to move on with our relationship but whenever I ask her a question even in the past when it was fresh she never really would give me answers. She gets really frustrated and angry especially now if it comes up she yells at me and tells me to get the fuck over it and her telling me that is extremely painful. We have 2 children together and I am trying my best to raise my kids in a happy unbroken home. I just hope one day I can be happy as any man should be in their relationship. Thanks again

There is no guarantee they won’t cheat again all you can do is work on yourself and get help strengthening your “new marriage” my individual therapist reminded me that infidelity can happen in any relationship especially when communication wains and you become disconnected … I am choosing to work on my marriage because we still love each other very much … couples and individual therapists are helping us navigate this painful and challenging time … I am working on forgiving him as he is very remorseful and so patient with me 🤞🤞🤞

Same with a man who cheats. If you forgive and allow him to stay/you stay, they take that as a sign of you being okay with whatever they come up with next. Also as a sign that you are gullible and weak. What little respect they had (or obviously didn't have since they already disrespected you) will only dissipate further because you are giving them more room to disrespect you even more.

Something felt wrong after 6 years since he cheated before I was still listening to affair recovery help but something felt off. Two days ago, I listened to this message and realized he had become defensive about his phone. I walked to the family room, picked up his phone and headed for the bedroom. One of the most haunting things I deal with is. My husband had an affair for almost a full year. In 2014. In 2020 I found it. Something woke me up at 2am and said check his phone. And for 2 whole weeks I was so sick to my stomach. Any way I found out about and many other things. But the the only question that is in my mind everyday. Is why he didn’t erase the messages he says he doesn’t know why. But it’s almost like he wanted me to find them. If I was to cheat and never have. I would erase them everyday. This is the last man I thought would be capable, especially having been cheated on a couple time In his past before his ex died from covid (before we met). What if she cheated on me with her Ex and they have a 10 year old daughter together. She left me for him after being with me 5 years. She left me for 7 months then came back saying it was a mistake. We started slow, just talking going hiking things like that. I asked why it didn't work again with her ex she said she was upset with me and would drop her daughter off and just go inside for dinner and it just happened, she said he hasn't changed he still likes other women too. So she is saying she loves me and treats me like her boyfriend again going out she touches me rubs me kisses me. I asked her if she had a fight with her ex or if shes mad at him hoping she would say yes. But she said no, nothing happened hes a good father and will help with what ever she needs for their daughter. They also talk every day about their daughter and continue to go to his house to pick her up and drop her off. He does the same at her place. SO my question is I'm afraid she will get upset with me again and do it again. Since she already did it and I came back. She knows she can. What do you think about her doing it again.? I'VE been seeing her again for 4 months again now. And if or when I ever bring it up she gets upset. I expect her to say Im so sorry I know it must of hurt you, and need time to trust me again! I would never do that again! Instead she says you keep talking about the past, she says that about everything I get upset about, even if it was just a day or two, she says bringing up the past. No one is in your relationship but you and her but she does owe you prolonged support. They all seem to believe that when we hear it once, it is done. She should not be doing exchanges in the house out of respect for you and given this literally just happened where the worst case scenario played out.
